As EVN will allow background tasks, cmd+shift+3 should work on it so it will be easier in EVN to take screenshots

Yes -- we've told y'all how to make screenshots, so let's have at 'em! eMail them (preferably in JPEG or GIF format) to:

Yes, heaven forbid anything in life should have a value, or you should have to support companies that work their butts off to make cool products for your Mac.

Andrew, I'm not a critic, I love ambrosia products, but what exactly does Snapz Pro do? Everything the program does can be done with shift-apple-3 and some editing in simpletext. I register good products like EV:O, but Snapz doesn't have any use. Personally, if I ran ambrosia (which, I know nothing about, and will never do, but feel the need to state my opinion anyway....), I would offer Snapz Pro as a free little utility. Once again, I'm not a critic, I love EV:O and will register EV3 in a heartbeat, but I don't find much use for Snapz.....
Thanks for your time.

Well, I'd guess that it's at least somewhat popular, or else they would probably not sell it (particularly not for $30). Maybe there's a particular market segment that needs to take screenshots in situations like EV that don't allow for Shift-Cmd-3. Plus, maybe people really like the other features.

Well, EV doesn't allow Snapz to take in-game screen shots, like we talked about above... you have to edit some data file with ResEdit to get Snapz to work... I imagine that if you edit that file, normal shift-apple-3 will work too....

No, Apple's will still not work -- in fact, Snapz Pro 2 is the only product that will capture screens in EVO (after that modification), ditto in many other games (Myth, etc.).

Snapz Pro 2 is actually our best-selling product, by far (it isn't even close).
Sure thing! Here's a blurb from the Snapz Pro 2 page:
.....
Snapz Pro 2 is a sleek utility that lets you grab virtually anything you see on your Mac's screen and immediately transform it into a usable picture file or QuickTime movie. Snapz Pro 2 also works when most other capture utilities won't, making it the screenshot utility of choice for manual writers, web publishers, and other media professionals.
If you'd like to find out more, go to the (url="http://"http://www.SnapzPro.com")Snapz Pro 2 web page(/url)
Alrighty... I didn't know that only snapz could take those in game shots. Still, that's quite a bit of money for a utility (compared to the prices of the games)......
It also takes movies and stuff so it'd be good for making tutorials and those movies that we get to see of unreleased games.
"takes movies"
???
Didn't you read the Blurb?
I didn't think it was that simple... or perhaps, I'm mistaken.... can you just press a "Record" button on snapz and have it record your screen and save it into a quicktime movie? Or do you have to install the images frame by frame for the movie?
Hmmmm, my stingyness is failing....
