I cannot go any further than the message from jospeph ste-whatshisname. For some reason even when i don't abort the mission as it asks me to delete the message i can get no other missions than simple frieght and passenger transports. If any one out there knows how to proceed in this plug and get further than the jospeph ste-whatsisname mission some help would be really usefull as i am getting sick of flying about shooting pirates.

Hmm... Martin Turner has replied to all of the Frozen Heart topics on the board, but not this Femme Fatale one.

I've never played the plug, so I can't help you.
Sorry, I was off doing something political and didn't get to it.
There's an obscure bug in EVO which seems to produce this. It affected about 3% of the players on the beta, and the only way we could find to fix it was to start again. It only happens on self-aborting missions (of which this is one). We put this one very early on so that, if the worst came to the worst, you wouldn't be too far in.
Which Mac, which OS and which EVO version are you using (I'm sorry, this won't help you, but it might help me to finally find out why this happens).

Hmm,
I may be affected by a similar problem. I have managed to get a string of missions after the "Don't return to ..." until you hear from Alex mission but this mission just sticks around and does nothing. If I abort it it just pops up in the mission computer again. It doesn't abort itself though. Is this the way it was designed or should I have heard from Alex by now? I am currently looking for the second of three superfreighters. Most of the other strings seem to be dead or finished.
Don't suppose anyone has any hints as to where I can find the second superfreighter do they? I've tried the plague planets and war zones I know about but no luck so far.

Look south of Alba....don't forget about the planets that have no ports on them, either.
I had this problem too, for a while, until my fighter status went up. Then I was eventually approached in a bar by a guy asking me to help him recover a painting.
A neat trick: it's actually really easy to kill meteors and ion storms. Just drift along at about the objects' speed, and hit it with a laser or ion cannon. My fighter status jumped obsenely high after I started doing this.

I've got a question about those damn superfreighters... i've got the mission to find them... but where and how can i find the first one? Please help... i've got no idea and i've searched just about every system... is there a trick to it or what?
Also... what's with the supposed ports in systems that aren't there...how do you get to them?
Assistance would be very greatfully recieived...
To get ports on planets that have more than one port simple hit 1, 2, 3, etc.. to select the different ports. As for where the first freighter is, check the holo-vid in a bar, that should give you a big clue (if you've played frozen heart). The first frieghter didn't make it very far from where you were asked to look (not sure what this board thinks of spoilers so I'll leave it at that unless you're still having problems).
thanx Sol... problem cured...
Erm, well, I've got the same problem, actually, and I followed "Sol"'s advice. Hung around all the bars in the sector and checked holo-vids. Nothing I found at all useful to find the first superfreighter. Maybe you're more receptive than I am. Please-pleease-please: A small additional hint from you would be greatly appreciated!?!
In Frozen Heart there was a particular moment when the planet you were on almost drained your engines. If ever there was a place to go looking for a crashed ship, that would be it.
