Hmmm... I must admit that I really liked FH.. I think is was because it actually finished a plot -- whereas EV and EVO always leave it 'half-done'. Also, you gotta congratulate Martin Turner on his use of the EV game engine (yes, it was based around EV, even though it came out for EVO as well) -- no doubt FH2 will take advantage of the EVO 1.0.2 (or even EV3) game engine when it is released.
My only problem with it was the graphics it used... I tend to find non top-down plugs slightly disconcerting.
All in all... if it had a little more depth to it, then it would be a worthy contender to EVO itself... however, it is merely just the best plug for EVO around (IMHO)

Yes, I enjoyed every mission in Frozen Heart. Where there wasn't action, there was, FYI, a GREAT storyline that is unmatched in any other plug in this universe. No you don't get to blow stuff up every mission. Maybe, just maybe, its because there's more to EV than blowing stuff up.
Aw, only fighters you say. But you ignore the fact that the Tach fighter is one of the most powerful ships you can get, if you aren't stupidly reckless with it. No you don't get any of those Rigellian warships and make "a lot of dead people", but you do get a job that is strong, small, quick, and jumps FAST.
The only place I agree with you is that I agree that we disagree on this one.

About EV-MP, it's being done but it doesn't have to be just like EV as there are some EV features that can't or are difficult to put in MP

I've said it before, i think MP EV would be best if it only consisted on one system. Then you use your ship and fight other people. A complete MP EV game would get dominated by long time players and would just be to hard to do.

Maybe not, there would be NPC ships that could procect new players being attacked for no reason
You'd need to be able to define "no reason" which would be hard.

He's got a point -- a valid one. If you put something in the public eye (or in this case, make it available for download) you can expect to get criticism from everyone who downloads. It can be either good or bad. If you don't want people to criticize your work, don't release it.
I, personally, think the Frozen Heart is a great plug, and the novel isn't bad either. I do agree, however, that FH pushes you through the plot. I think this was necessary for Martin Turner to tell his story.
