They don't make the UE's hate you; the UE's only hate you if you don't pay the fine. As far as I know, it has no effect on your legal record with the Voinians.

WELCOME to jon's ultimate guide to making a living in the evo universe!
well...you just bought your shiny new shuttlecraft, now what?
first off get in with the UE trading corps, this will open up more, better missions. BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING, ABSOUTELY ANYTHING IN A NEW SHIP, BUY THESE THINGS : A DENSITY SCANNER, A IFF DECODER, 2 FUEL TANKS, A AUTO REFULER, A ESCAPE POD (ONLY IF IN STRICT PLAY), ALL THE AVALABLE ECM SYSTEMS. next, keep doing missions in the core UE worlds, aviod uninabited systems such as chocra (dont critique me on spelling), jax, any dsn-#### system. also try to avoid combat, your little ship wont stand up to much. after your account is at 100,000 or more go buy a scoutship (if you prefer to fight you can save up the extra 150,000 to buy a helian, beware though, its in hostile territory and your mini ship might not make it).
immediately after buying a scoutship and all the essentials go to saliaa and land. next go straight up, as straight up as you can. dont stop untill you get to mira, the miranu homeworld. go to the bar, there is a mission ther for 50,000 credits. after the completion of the mission they will tell you to go to blaga, dont, at least not yet. wait untill you have 500,000+credits then buy a miranu courier. now you can go to blaga. after this how you make money is completely up to you, it was in the first place.
congrats, you have read through my guide! the way you forge your destiny is now completely up to you. However, i do sugest that you get these ships in this order: 1. shuttle (duh! ) 2. scoutship / helian 3. miranu courier / arada 4. lazira (really up to you) 5. CRECENT WARSHIP!!!!!!! (my personal favorite ship, but experiment, see which ones you like)

I recomend doing what he said up to the part with the miranu. Keep doing shipping missions untill you can get a Freight Courior. Get all the upgrades and max out your hunter missles and blaze turrets. Hunt renegades and Non-UE craft untill you get a combat rating of Excelent. Head to pax. Get the first bar mission offered to you. Complete it. Go back to pax and get the next bar mission. Before completeing it ditch your hunter missles at Earth or somewhere. Complete the mission. Wander around your contacts home space untill you get a shipping mission from the bar. Complete it. Get more shipping missions from the mission coumputer untill you have at least 8.5 million credits. Head to Mira and buy a crecent warship. Modefy it however you want.(I like adding 1 nutron turret, selling the fighter bay and all fighters+the SADs+launcher then I buy all the handling and speed upgrades and all the armor and shields I can fit on my ship.) Then you get the rest of the missions at your new home space untill a planet is destroyed.
------------------ I guss Hucked on Fonex werked fer you tew.
If I want to work for the Voinians, I cut my teeth on passenger missions in my shuttle, without doing the UE shipping mission. Then, once I've got about 300k, I hire freighters and trade med supplies. Once I've got about 3 mil, I buy an arada and get back to trading. Then, once I've got SERIOUS cash, I buy a good ship like a CW, outfitted well, all speed upgrades, and start doing serious missions. If i feel UEish, I start with their shipping mission anyway. I think it works well.
If after you get 3Million you just go back to trading, why don't you get a Mirany frighter or heavy freighter?
'Cause MHF's take 3 days to jump. That means triple escort pay. Not cool.
Well then you can capture your escorts.
Then a little frieghter courior starts following you...
...So you can disable him and get his fuel.
If you capture your escorts you don't get to use their cargo space at all.
Not true. I have about 3 emagha freaghters and I can use all of their cargo space. You can't use it for missions, though.
That's right! Only FIGHTERS and WARSHIPS don't give you their cargo holds!!!
So, you can capture traders, and they'll let you use their cargo? And if you capture fighters or Warships, they will defend you? Ahh, I see. But still, how am I going to capture anything in MHF? It has 53 crew! (which, albeit, is more than most freighters.) And anyway, there's another reason for choosing an arada. You can get back and forth before a disaster ends sometimes to get good prices longer. And for my third reason, I don't like slow ships at all!! 'cept for UE Cruiser, where it space, crew, shields, and power kinda make up for that critical speed drop. I'll take an arada over a MHF on personal preference.
