I'm looking for some good 2 jump trade routes? By that, I mean....
Planet A sells cheap Metal and expensive Lux Goods. Planet B sells expensive Metal and cheap Lux Goods. They have only one (or two) planets between them.
Any?
------------------ "Are you sure this is a good idea, Boss?" "Of course not, don't ask stupid questions" "Sorry" -- Loiosh & Vlad --
Oh, and I want good trade goods though.... I know the fertilizer/food route in UE space... but, that gets you about $200*(cargospace) $$$ for each run. Hardly worth it :frown:
Sell food on earth. Pick up equepment. Head to Centari. Sell equepment. Buy food. Lather, rinse, repeat.
------------------ I guss Hucked on Fonex werked fer you tew.
There is also Their-Gryben. Or is poopsekins a ittle bitty swuttlecrafy?
I suggest trading medical supplies, since they are the most expensive commodity. Try this route:
Buy Medical on New Riga Wait for a mining accident to happen on Telnan Sell Med supplies during accident Jump back to New Riga
Don't laugh. This route REALLY hauls in the cash once you've got some freighter Escorts. And its not imperative that you wait for an accident. But if you do, you'll get 150% more profit. And its very safe for shuttlecrafts. Its too bad you can't bring anything back to New Riga, but that's a minor flaw. I use this route in my shuttle with six freighter escorts until I have five million credits. That doesn't take long.
------------------
The Medical route also works (to a lesser extend) between Atlantic Station and New Calcutta before they are cure by the Miranu doctors (but that is your responsability anyway) This is incidently in my view one of the bad points of EVO: You see, prices are almost always constant (there are variations like accidents, monks on strike, abundant crops). But they do not change according to offers. I think one should not be able to build a fortune by doing the same route on a large scale (nothing personal, Samurai. I am sure you can see my point) I remember a game on PC called Elite where prices would vary according to supply and demand, and it made the whole thing that much more interesting, whereas now the only point for such routine is to build up your cash to get on with the game in a decent ship. the trading aspect is just not there. Maybe in EVO 3 or 4....
Go to Iothe.
Buy armor and Blaze cannons
Jump to the uninhabited system just below it.
Disable a few dozen Turncoats and take their credits.

Yeah! That's the real, honest way to earn money.

That's really hard to do with sucky players (eg: ME)

That's a very good idea. I like it (but I do it with Emalgha cannons and Voinian ships, just because I hate Voinians. But they don't ever have much money on them... :frown: ). Another good route is between Emalgha and one of the other Emalgha planets. I don't remember what commodities either, but this route is supposed to be really good because you don't have to jump, and when you hire a lot of (url="http://"http://www.geocities.com/evosite/shipyard.html#emfreighter")Emalgha Freighter(/url) escorts, you can keep doing it indefinitely without having to pay any fees to them. I've only done this repeatedly once...I prefer more violent ways of earning money.
------------------ Visit my EVO web site (currently under construction) and tell me how it looks (via the poll at the bottom of the page or the guestbook)! It's at (url="http://"http://www.geocities.com/evosite")http://www.geocities.com/evosite(/url) ! I can't think of anything else to write...
Sensei, the supply-and-demand idea sounds smart to me. (When I was saving up to buy my first Lazira, I must have carried more fertilizer to Centauri than any planet could ever possibly need....) It would also add a touch of realism if the cost of fuel were lower at (for example) Zanati Refinery than it is on a heavily-populated planet like Earth or Mira.
------------------ Question authority. That's an order.
That's true.... a supply/demand would be nice.... yet another EV3 suggestion.
Anyway.... I'm not really looking to pick up credits by attacking.... I just started a new account so I could try all the things in EV that I've never tried before (renegade work, etc, etc)..... and I needed a better way to get started than dragging fertilizer and food around. I don't even have enough $$$ to get myself a decent fighting ship right now (I consider Lazira and up decent) (yes, I know you die-hard Arada fans hate me now)
thanks for the suggestions.

This person is 150% right. This is the best trade route in the game:
The route is between Emalgha and the small agricultural moon in that system (I think its called Lieto or something). I created a pilot, did that route to build up heaps of cash, and now whenever I start a new game, I just load a copy of that pilot.

That elmalga one is great.Go download the "junk secrets" or whatever from the guides section. It is aweaome. Note:The person who made it messed up. it says sell and buy at the wrong place. Fuzzes run with captured escorts kicks butt

Wanna know something cool? You can buy "Weapons" on Morin in Azdgari space for about 3000, and sell them at Emalghia for about 5800! What a difference! Of course, its just for fun, because you have to travel across the entire galaxy, but I think it is the most differential between prices that there is! Cool!

I know it's an EV, not EV:O planet, but I think that New Britain should have the most expensive fuel. The good people of Britain have a long history of paying too much for their fuel. About 7 bucks a gallon at the moment, f'instance...

Two things:
(1) Joy! It feels so good to be right... (2) You know that fighter you used in your upcoming plug-in? I'm using it in my latest project, too, except that in my version, the colors are slightly different. Anyway, I bet you got the original from the (url="http://"http://www.shoalhaven.net.au/~bb/")same place I did(/url). Right?

It sure does !!

Yes! Its great how we can just take graphics from these people. I personally want to thank all of those kind and generous people who let us use their graphics (I got 2 3D programs thanks to MacAddict and MacFormat magazines but I have no idea how to use them).
PS Shayborg, if you need any help or anything with your project I would be glad to help. Mine is pretty much dead.
