Is there some way that I haven't been told of to get more than 1 shield generator?
I've read many, many posts about people's "awesome and legit" ships that have all these "phat upgrades" like "neutron cannons, dospect armor.... and... oh... 4 shield generators!!!!"

They mean the the little cylendricel things that make you have more shields that you can get at any hi-tech strand or miranu planet.

Allright, listen very carefully:
Shield enhancers make your shields stronger Shield generators make your shields recharge faster
Generators are Azdgari technology, but they don't do much unless you've got a small ship. Enhancers are standard Crescent technology. You can get four.
When people say they have "four shield generators" they usually mean "enhancers"

As somebody told me, possibly they mean the "experimental" shield enhancer you get from the Azdgari plus the one you can buy - makes two Shield - GENERATORS.

GRRRRR... I know that you can have 4 ENHANCERS. However, could someone please tell me where in my original post did I mention shield enhancers? I'm talking about generators, the Aggy technology that can make the Azdara damn near invincible. Everyone says that they have 4 on their ship....
maybe it's just that they mean the enhancers, who knows?

I don't think that there is any way to get more than two generators. If people say that they have "four shield generators" it's fairly safe to assume that they mean enhancers.
Ironically enough..... I ranted about that very topic a month or so ago, people flooding threads with the same exact answers. heh. that makes me laugh
The best thing to do is capture an Enhanced Arada Protype at the end of the Azd. missions. If you add an Azd. generator + 4 enhancers, you become invincible. Literally. (ok, to be fair, I was killed once by 10 Zidagar fighters (and thats because I was trying to die)).
