Note: I wrote this when I was bored, so any unreasonable things in here I apologize for
Age one: Player tries to get bigger and bigger ships and mostly ignores speed. Player asks on this board what ship is the best.
Age two: Player tried the Azdgari and is now extremly attached to fighter ships. At the end of this age, he prolly fought a mayor battle but got beaten up badly. Player now asks on this board what the best Strands are.
Age three: Player uses a middle class ship, to see what it's like.
Age four: Player uses any ship of the previous ages as his personal ship and dominates the whole galaxy. After that, he writed posts like this.
No use, really, but I told you I was bored

No use, really, but I told you I was bored . No Igazra or (url="http://"http://www.geocities.com/evosite/shipyard.html#uecruiser")UE Cruiser(/url) for me!!! I love my ship...
By the way, the links above point to descriptions of these ships in the shipyard of my web page. The ships not linked aren't up yet. I started work on the shipyard last weekend, so I haven't really had that much time... And if you're curious as to why I wasted all that time writing out that UBB code junk, remember that I'm bored.

You don't need to change the discription on the Heavy Fighter. And the Interceptor is SLIGHTLY less pitiful then the heavy. The Supply Ship has 200 cargo space, 1 neutron turret and is very slow. It's a good core world trader but it isn't good for anything else. And the dreadnaught is the most Kick Butt ship aroud.(Except for modefyed ships and they don't count. :))
------------------ I guss Hucked on Fonex werked fer you tew.
The descriptions of the Voinian ships aren't completed yet. I hate to even blotch the page with the (url="http://"http://www.geocities.com/evosite/shipyard.html#vheavyfighter")VHF(/url), but I have to give it a complete review. But I agree, that is enough.
The other Voinian ships I haven't even started yet. But I will, I promise.

OK. And the friget Stinks but the Crusier is VERY good.
And if you want the stats then work for the voinians. Only the first and third missions are REALY hard.

I can get the stats from EV-Edit. And anyway, I finished the Voinian missions once with cheats just to see what it was like. But I would never seriously support the Voinians. I just don't like them. Thanks, though.
BTW, I just finished the heavy fighter and interceptor descriptions. Go take a look!

Surely there should be a fifth stage, when out of total and utter frustration, knowing that there is nothing beyond galactic domination, the player then feels free to whinge about a multiplayer version. There are however recorded cases of players leaping straight to this stage almost as soon as they start playing. cheers

Or the player realises that whinging will get him nowhere and doesn't bother whinging.

Or he finds the "Plasma Siphon" topic and gets realy annoying.
How about this: Phase 1: Player spends for ever trying to complete EVO and fills board with questions about best ship. Player doesn't see light of day for several weeks.
Phase 2: Player discovers plugins and fills board with questions about best plugin. Player doesn't see light of day for several months.
Phase 3: Player starts writing plugins and fills developers board with questions about best graphics package, best editor. Player doesn't see light of day for about 1.4 years.
Phase 4: Either: Player forlornly cruises board wondering if anyone has seen his/her plugins, hoping to be mentioned in Phase 2 player's question. Or: Player spends all of own time fixing bugs, uploading updates and answering emails, some threatening, some abusive, some just bizarre. Player should abandon all hope of seeing light of day again.

So you'd be in Phase 4 then.
I've played Frozen and a little bit of FF and I really mesed up on the last Frozen Heart mission. I had some upgrades on my ship that I couldn't get rid of on earth and half the universe got sucked up while I was getting them of my ship. Do you think as a project after you finish FOTE you can make a plug to reset the mission bits for that? I mean it stinks that all the Hyper routs to Styx are now sucked up and I didn't finish the mission.

Hmmm... waxing slightly autobiographical, Martin?

Hey, I wouldn't see the light of day ever either, except that I have classes in all different buildings, so I have to move around outside. Otherwise, I'd hang around the computer lab or my home computer all day.
