A long time ago i saw some people talking about EV-3D, and they were saying how much it would suck. people were also asking if there were games like EV out there that are 3-d, someone mentioned the game Terminus. I decided to look into this, it sounded like a cool game, so i downloaded the demo. and i have this to say: it kicks A$$! If you are looking for a 3-D ev-like game download the terminus demo, you wont be dissapointed.
You can download the demo at (url="http://"http://www.macgamefiles.com")www.macgamefiles.com(/url)
Also visit the developer's site: (url="http://"http://www.vvisions.com")www.vvisions.com(/url)
Or the Terminus homepage: (url="http://"http://www.vvisions.com/terminus/index2.html")http://www.vvisions....nus/index2.html(/url)
P.S. if you dont have a joystick ... well, good luck!

The Vice Admiral speaks the truth (the full game is even better).

Terminus is cool... but it's way too complex. When I want to play a game, I want to play a game, not do physics problems -- if they made simple physics, like from Wing Commander, or something, it would be so much better. But, if they simplified it, people would complain about it being unrealistic. It is a cool game, though -- from what I saw in the demo.

Yea, anyone who thinks OS X has some stiff requirements, check out Terminus. Atleast OS X will run on my 233 iMac. I wish I could play Terminus on it =(

You can download OpenGL from Apple's site. It works fine with my system (8.6).

How'd you get a 233 iMac to run OS X, I though it need 4MB of VRAM as a minimum nad the 233 iMacs only had 2.

heh, you think Terminus or OS X are bad for system requirements? deus ex requires g3/266, 4MB vram, no opengl (apparantly...), quicktime 4 (why!?), and "64 MB ram, 128 recommented"... that's bull poop. it takes 155MB ram - any less & it will complain on startup... on a side note, i have 192MB ram, no logical/virtual mem, and uhh i play deus ex with the system taking < 35MB physical ram. fear.
anyway, 155MB is a wee bit more excessive, don't you think? oh, and i know someone who plays diablow 2 and terminus on a 604... with an ati pci card... basically it's the graphics card, not the processor. unless a game is incredibly lame and has an insane cpu requirement...
mmmm, spam... but it's related to something in this topic thread... scarry!

Yeah, the game is ALOT better if you have a joystick, and alot easier too. i bought a joystick just for the game
the game does have a few flaws though:
1. they could have put more effort into the weapon graphics 2. Story mode is waaaaay too short 3. Sometimes the physics are too realistic, but they still rule, you can pull some insaine manuvers with them

It is a Rev. B. It has 6 MB of RAM
2 things:
1. Does anyone know where to get a windows version of Terminus? and
2. Has anyone here played "Tachyon: The Fringe"? It's the coolest game I ever saw! It is 100,000,000,000,000 times better the EVO is and probobly at least 100,000,000,000 times better then EV3 will be.
------------------ I guss Hucked on Fonex werked fer you tew.
I played the first little bit of Tachyon. Can you ever do anything except missions? If not then it isn't quite as good as EVO, but it is still very cool.

One word: Multiplayer. It is the main thing that makes Tachyon better then EVO. I got half of my sides kills last time I played. And my side had over 60 kills. There is only one man who can beat me by himself. Some guy who calls himself "God of Death". He is very good. He always kills me unless I can hit him with my "Swarms". He makes the game fun.
