Neutron, Phase, and Blaze turrets, Regular and dispersal rockets, and Pursuit and Hunter missiles do?
Exact #'s, please... thanks.

Even the bug-tastic EV-Edit will tell you this. Just be careful not to save anything. I suggest you have a look for yourself. It's a bit more complicated than you imply; there's damage vs. shields, and damage vs. armour...
And some people probably don't want to spoil the game by knowing exactly which weapons do what, preferring to try out each in turn, against various opponents. For that reason, I won't post a spoiler here.
------------------ "Hey look Gavin... All this typing, and I didn't need to swear once..."
bah.... I know generally what weapons do what damage to what (I have played the game for a while)..... please, do spoil me. Or write me an email or something, please. I don't have any time to figure out resedit =(
Blaze: 4 damage to armor, 5 damage to shields Phase: 1 damage to armor, 15 damage to shields Neutron: 10 damage to armor, 30 damage to shields
Rockets: 160 damage to armor, 40 damage to shields D. Rockets: 0 damage to armor, 150 damage to shields
Pursuit: 50 damage to armor, 50 damage to shields Hunter: 100 damage to armor, 40 damage to shields
These are the EXACT values from res-edit. Hope that answers the question.

Thank you very much, Samurai.

But not in the game, see, for every 4 damage points somthing does, it adds 1 to the other field (e.g. phase does 15 damage to shields, and 4 damage to armor) personally, i think this is a crummy "feature" because you can't do things like EMPs.... well, i've probably made MB mad enough already, so i'll shut up
Sorry if this is a stupid question... but what about those Emelgha weapons?
Flatulence didn't ask about Emalgha weapons.
Well, he should have.
------------------ If itΒ΄s quality software you can read "Made with Macintosh" -Shadow
lol
Emalgha: 0 damage to shields, 25 damage to armor. Which is lucky for the Emalgha, since they mostly fight Voinians.
Are you sure they do no damage do shields? I'm almost certain that rockets aren't the only emalgha things hurtin' me.
Er, well, as Mordon said, for every 4 damage a weapon does to shields, it does one to armor, and vice versa. I don't exactly understand what he means, but I think it explains why Emalgha weapons still do some damage to shields. Same for Dispy. Rockets.
Your assessment is correct, Samurai. Some people wish it were possible to create specialised non-impact weapons, or weapons against which shields are impermeable... but in EV/EVO, there will always be some damage crossover. In EV3, who knows?
There was a guy on this board a few weeks ago, who said he never bothers with secondary weapons, escorts or fighters; just loads his Lazira up with phase cannon and goes for it. Pythons everything - said he even went after the Voinian Dreadnought that way. Thanks to the 1/4 damage bonus thing, this is perfectly possible... but... ugh! What a slow, boring job! Everyone needs a hobby, I guess.
Has anyone ever compensated for the difference in firing rate? I suspect that the figures above are for a single shot, but not every gun fires at the same rate. Classic example of this effect is the Disco Machine Gun: nt much damage per shot but it has an insane firing rate.
I think a better system might be damage/sec (Damage per shot * shots per second). I'd do it myself, but I don't have any way to edit resources.

Oh come now samurai. Think, do DR's inflict absoulotly {where is my dictahmahnary??} NO damage to armor and Elmalgha cannons inflict NO damage whatsoever to shields??? The programmers did that to even it out!!!

Alien's famous tongue... "Vionions?? Voinioniommoins?? Viks? Veggies? Vegetables? Oh wait, that's a hewman plant...
Ooter hs a point. From the values, it looks like neutron turrets are WAY better than anything else. But the Neutron turrets have a slower rate of fire than, say, phase turrets. (or Disco Machine Gun :D) There is some damage crossover between shield and armor damage. Cus' Dispy. Rockets DO do damage to armor, even though Res-edit says that they don't.
English, please Alien.
Hmmm, rate of fire... oh and don't forget accuracy! Let's see..
Neutron Turrent- Perfect accuracy, yet slow rate of fire... Phase Turrent- Near-perfect accuracy, but is lopsided toward shields... Blaze Turrent- Average accuracy, yet nothing good nor bad... Elmalgha Turrent- Horrible accuracy, but it rips apart Voinian ships quicker then a cheese grater on a caffaine pill...
Now that's a race....
how much damage do those Phase Beams do?
Neutron Turrets have perfect accuracy? Are you sure? It seems to me that about 15% of the Neutron blasts I fire off miss their intended target. Of course, this could be because Neutron weapons have a fairly slow speed. But I still like Neutron turrets a lot, cause they are great for fighting voinians. Which is what I do. As for Phased Beams? The values:
Phased Beam - 5 damage to shields, 0 damage to armor.
These values can be misleading. remember, a Phased beam continually does this amount of damage over and over, as long as the beam continues to hit the enemy ship. And there is damage crossover. On the other hand, phased beams drain fuel like CRAZY. I don't like them, myself. Not very practical for a human player. A computer, however...
