Hi all. I'm very pleased with the progress of the team so far, we have 16 members (namely me, Rapid Emu, MattJ131, Duo, Chamrin, SolarShadow, Stark, Jericon, Nullity, Kaz, John Craig, MATT BURCH YOUR GOD!, Skyhawk, DrewScott, DocWho, Robin and a couple of others), mostly people you know and respect. We have processed 655 units and done 1.59 years of results. While this is moderately impressive I WANT MORE DAMMIT That's why it's up to you to d/l the client from (url="http://"http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/")http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/(/url) and then join our team at (url="http://"http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/stats/team/team_66058.html")http://setiathome.ss...team_66058.html(/url) . I've got 3 new members already today (Matt Burch, DocWho and Robin) but I want more. So please consider joining up today.

I want to join but the thing says that it can't find any of the download pages. Can you send me a version? BTW the coumputer I'm on is a Windows. It has 800 Megaherz so it should help a lot with the thing, so please don't flame me.

ftp://ftp.cdrom.com/pub/setiathome/setiat...me_win_2_04.exe seems to work for the Win version of seti@home... if not I assume it's just down temporarily... Glad to have you on board and don't worry about using a Winbox. This team is made up from MacOS, FreeBSD, Linux and PC boxes...

Hey I am on the team I am known as GIJosh . I ussually hang out at #ev though. This is my first post to the EV board. Although I have posted to the ares board. I plan to use my mac classic 2 in order to run seti.

hmm the people in #ev are too quiet. I think they are planning somthing against me. They should talk more, or I will be forced to do somthing.
I visited #ev for a while but I found it uninteresting to say the least. So I stopped.
As you may have noticed I edited the last message. I had to edit out all the profanity and insults to the people in #ev. I did this in hopes of getting them to talk about somthing.

I went to the website that you said and it said, "cannot find server or DNS error." And I went to the seti@home website ans tried to download it from there and I couldn't.

That's cool, I have a pc we have running it 24 hours a day, and at 18 hours a unit it gets 4 in 3 days. which is nice. Just to have the steady stream, but I still get most of my units from my g4 which I can leave on when I'm not using it and it gets it done in like 7 and a half hours. So
So the moral of the story is, run it on as many computers as you can. it's stable on mac and pc. So find a box and get it running.
Also if you can't seem to d/l it, try again tommorow or something. They'll have it back up.

I joined up in the middle of last year - and I even processed a unit of data. Unfortunately I didn't have my own computer, so people kept interrupting my processing. So I got sick of and irritated at the universe in general, and just erased the SETI program after crunching 1 packet. Didn't even get an alien beer commercial...
