Does anyone know exactly how much armor those two upgrades add to your ship? I've been curious.... and is the Bronev at all worthwhile getting?

YES, the Bronev is DEFINITELY worth getting!!! It's better than the dospect and if you have the space for both, you can TOTALLY rule in the Crescent!

What Hari Seldon means is that, as you may know, Voinian plating is especially resistant to Phase cannon fire. And when you combine Dospect and Bronev plating, you have yourself a perfectly phase-resistant ship. Tear those northtip renegades apart!

Dospect Armour adds 500 units, (50 in ship yard units), of armor. Bronev plating is only available if you're a Voinian or if you play through BTC, but adds.... 1000 units (100 in ship yard units) of armor. and they're both WELL worth the space!
P.S. try putting dospect armour on an Azdara that has an exp. shield generator AND a normal shield generator

Thank you Mordon.... goddamn. To the other people... I didn't ask if both were worthwhile getting, I didn't ask what they can be used for. I asked exactly how much power they give and if the bronev is worth the space. and I didn't ask for tips on what I should do to find out. I don't even have res edit.
So, once again, thanks Mordon. What's the "ship yard units"??? I always put dospect armor on my ships.... but, then again, my shields hardly ever go down...
Shipyard units are what you see when you're about to buy a ship. For example, if you're about to buy an Igzara and you click on the "info" button, you'll see that the Igzara has 500 "shipyard" shield units. This signifies how tough the shields are, the higher the value, the tougher the shield. Dospect armor adds 50 shipyard units of armor. Bronev adds 100 shipyard units of armor. So, if you're UE cruiser (armor 100) has Dospect and Bronev plating, its armor jumps to 250. If you've got the space and the cash, I'd get them. They are worth every credit.
Alright, thanks for the info. And almost anything is worth the credit.... the big question is if it's worth the space? 80 space for 100 armor... I dunno.....
It is. A lot of times I have gottendown below 10% armor and I think the only thing that kept my little ol' pilot from going to the great V. Cruesir in the sky was my Bronov&Dospect; plating. Of course it also could have been my 4 shield generators I slapped on my ship. But I think they both helped.

How do I get my hands on some dospect armor? I have heard that you can only get it at Vionian planets, and I can't land at any of them! I really need it to help me out in the crescent.
If you are working for the voinians then kill a lot of UEs near the border and then you can land. If you are working for the UEs then complete the Parren station missions and you can buy Dospect armor, Neutron wepons and rocket turret ammo. But not rocket turrets.

Actually, Bronev plating only takes up 60 tons of space, and if you're combining the two, its 80 tons of space, for 150 armor and, for the last time, it's WELL worth the money AND space
and if you add both to a Voinian Frigate, and take it into the Crescent with a load of turreted rockets, it rocks in a wholly joyful manner.
Hmmm, Turret rockets, very underestimated IMHO.
