Hi. I tried downloading EV override from ambrosia, but it didn't work on my PC because it is a Mac format game. Is there any way I can play the game without a Mac emulator? If there isn't, where is the best spot to get an emulator at the lowest price so EV works fast and well on my Pentium 266 Mhz computer PC? Thanks to anyone who can help, I played this game over my friends house on his Mac, and I loved it so I just want to know how I can get it to work on my PC.

Yes, but it involves a hardware modification.
First of all, you need to make sure that your PC uses an ATX motherboard and case. Then go buy one of the "minitower" Macs made since early 1999. These cases and motherboards are also ATX. Now scoop the guts out of your PC, and put the Mac guts in.
Now your Personal Computer will be able to play EVO. It will also look like your old PeeCee, thereby remaining Politically Correct; no one will ever know that you have gone over to the other side...

Try Executor. I've gotten it to work fairly well on a Pentium 200. There's no sound, but once you get everything working it's quite playable.
Anyway the shareware version is free at (url="http://"http://www.ardi.com")http://www.ardi.com(/url) .
Once you download it and EVO, just set Executor to animation mode in the options and be sure to allocate at least 20 megs of RAM. Then turn sound off in EVO, turn the speed up to maximum, and it works.

Aggh! Don't listen to him!
EVO is old enough that newer PC's, even with the 2-3X speed cut that comes with emulation, can still run it reasonably well.

I feel your pain Quest. My old mac has no internet connection so there is no way to download any plugs without going through my new PC(ugh). The PC corrupts all the files so they won't work on the mac. It's a crazy world we live in.
