Well, it changes the Regional Map outift, which shows the systems within two jumps, to the Galaxy Map, which shows you the whole galaxy. Neat, huh?

First of all, there are already several plugs that do do the same thing and second, you don't need a map with the whole galaxy to test I plug of that type.

You can download a cheater plug. I know one that makes the entire map visible when you buy the plain old regional map. Cheater plugs also make other parts of the game easier.

If it's for your own plug why bother with the conflict a cheater could add? open up resedit and change the map outfit yourself. Make the modvalue 1000 and you'll never have to worry about it again. Make sure you remove it from the plug before you realease it though. Better yet make a copy to test and just alter that one.
