Ok, what's this deal with EVO not running on 'slow' macs... Anaerobic Shark says he has a 75MHz mac, and it is slow... I started off with EVO on a Performa 630 (33MHz) and it was fine. Ditto for my 6200 (75MHz) Laugh all you want, but do you really want everything moving so fast that the game is impossible to play. I dont know, I prefer playing on the 6200 because everything moves at a decent speed. When you jump into a system, you get a decent amount of time to see whats attacking before you cop it. On my G3, my Arada got flattened before I had even fired my secondary.
Yeah sure, it is nice to have a fast mac (i am drooling over that G4/500 at the moment) but I wouldnt like to play EVO on it, because it would just be too fast. (it may be a bit late, but could we have some sort of limiter in EV3... even running at 50% speed, it is a bit too fast on my G3/233)
Anyway, comments?

WARNING: Apparently, I am full of potatoes and feet, and spout gizmos and cream. This is a sign of... uh... Oh hang it!
running anything below 100% will tend to make things screwie, and bugged up.
on my rev b imac EV/O runs slow enough to not die within 2 seconds

That's strange... My friend's 333 iMac (no clue what "rev" that is) plays it about the same speed as my 100mhz 603e (performa 6300CD - road apple) although I admit that my 100mhz actually plays it choppy (because the HD is filled to the brim and I have about 325342534 extensions at work for my finder)... but I find that EV, the original, plays speedy even on the slowest of macs. Oh well.
It's fun anyway.

My fault with wording there NEVER say "slow" mac The way I look at it is: was it slow when you bought it? (course not) did it get any slower? (nope) so why is it slow now?
it's not.
although mine may be with all it's been through (... tho a RAM upgrade may have made up for that)
EVO seems fine on my G4 450...at 100%.
I admit I haven't played the EVO 1.0.2 scenario on it. I do think I've played 1.0.0 on it, though...
I ran EVO on my old 25 MHz Quadra 700 and 650. It ran a little slow, but was ok...

I have EVO installed on every mac I've had and they all run perfectly....

Heh, a 333 iMac would be Rev C or D...
Hmmm.... the difference in speed between playing it on my 6200/75 and G3/233DT is amazing... Im just about getting used to it, and this is after 2 weeks of hefty playing... Mind you, if you're used to it though...
