Alright... I downloaded some random plugin (I think it was babylon (sp?))... and started a new pilot file... well, I didn't like the plug (like every other plug I tried), but that's not the point... I went back to old EV and being rather curious, I opened the pilot file for the Babylon pilot that I had used in regular EV. I somehow ended up in a Emalgha (Emmies) Warship, with 2 neutron turrets, 4 layers of dospect armor, and some other goodies.... however, there was one weird thing that happened. I somehow got some super weapon installed on the ship. It looks like a phased beamer, but it's a MUCH thicker beam, doesn't waste fuel, and acts like a turret, not a secondary weapon.

So.. I'm asking for a favor... if anyone is willing, please download the pilot file and try it out on your game... see if you can get the super weapon to work (hit R or tab to select a target, then fire at it)... I'm curious if the same thing happens to other people.

I couldn't get a full picture of my ship firing it, cuz you can't take a snapshot while the game is actually running... it needs to be in pause mode. But, check it out, and lemme know what happens.

It's a zidagar phase beam.
No it's not; the Zidagar phased beam is not that thick and does not act like a turret. It could possibly be the Igadzra beam on;y because I forget what it looks like. Hopefully flatulence understands why he has all these strange weapons and the strange ship.

obviously you havent played as the zidigar, he said it didnt waste fuel, the phase-beam wastes fuel the a bee itch. plus its thicker than the phase-beam. also, the phase-beam is a secondary, not a primary turret like flatulence said

Ok, good that someone else gets it too.... heh, come to think of it, it's a pretty cool weapon. I have no idea how I got it tho'....
What's this Igadzra beam that you're talking about?

So, no one has any idea what it actually is? It'd be cool if there were other weapons like this that can randomly appear
the igadzra beam is a beam that you only see in the zidigar string, you never get to by it, but its kinda cool, an anti-azdara weapon
Actually is looks like the turrent beam from the Eye of Orion plug.
