I just downloaded a couple gateways and edited the data files(removed the little square boxes) and put the data and graphics in there respective folders anf launched the game and created a new user and entered the Uplink Internal Services machine and brought(bad spelling?) up the gateway upgrades screen and click on the new gateway, and then the game FREEZES up! What wrong? :frown:

I've been trying to use some of the Gateways that I've downloaded from AWOL and modlink.net, but have so far had no success at them even showing up in the place where you purchase them. I read the how-to guide by mrxak but I seem to be missing something. Put the data and graphics folders in the data folder inside the uplink folder and then they should show up, yes? Thanks for any help.
Are you registered? Because if you arent then you arent supposed to be able to add-on gateways.there is a way but i have promised not to disclose it..and if i did i would likely lose ALL my karma..

Yes, I followed all of mrxak's directions as far as file/folder hierarchy, should work, neh? Thanks everyone for your help.

Err...I can only add one at a time? I added six--5150 GTO, 10,000 Overkill from AWOL, and NG1-3, Tulip Series from modlink, let's see, that's 7. Should I try one at a time?
Not sure. Last time I used two it screwed up. Try one maybe.
