2 Different CGE Engines?

Maybe not. But interesting nonetheless!

I wanted to post this sooner, but no matter; now is just as good a time as any:
Recently I have come across something on how Coldstone handles PC and Mac games. Currently there is no workaround for having millions of colors in a CGE (as of yet), but when a PC test game was compiled, it seemed to represent everything in true colors.
So my question, statement, (or lack thereof) is......
Why does the engine act differently under the Windows side then that of Mac? and is there some way to tap that to use when the go to (or might be in the process of, but until I seriously see or hear otherwise, I'm saying Ambrosia has bigger tasks to deal with at hand then that of cleaning up CGE's buggy programing environment) rework the engine?
Anybody got any ideas as to how, why, or whatever? 😄
........
I think that was it.
Ah, for now at least.

the general answer is no, the only way to tap into the PC side is to dev for the PC side...let the pc(/classic) users help you work out the mechanics of your game, and if and when release for X, call it the gold edition 🆒

Understandable, but why the difference? Why is Windows showing Millions and the Mac side not?
Stupid PC, what a showoff.....
