So, Just after I get the first two islands taken over I figure I'll use Armour to move onto the island with the main incubator thing so I can take out those spiders and the flying soul destroyer thing. Well, I already have a few battle cannons set up on the first two island without a problem, so I create two more and load them up with darwinians and send them over to the other island. I create two more and do the same thing...twice now the game has crashed after moving the second set of armour. The first time I was able to get them to the island and just to the point I wanted them to turn into cannons, and the second time I didn't even get them off the island they started on.

Hmm...I finally got past Biosphere and I'm at the Temple now. It seems like whenever I have two armours driving around at once, regardless of how many I have turned into battle cannon, the game likes to crash.
Two loaded Armour, from my experience. Try to turn one into a cannon, whammo, there goes Darwinia.

I'm not even turning them into cannon when it crashes I'm just moving them.
I've beaten the original Windows version of the game and it's never crashed. It looks like I'm missing out on a lot of good times.
According to Chris, this is a known problem with floating point variables. It affects both Windows and Mac boxen to some degree, and has (hopefully) been fixed in the patch that is currently in beta. The Windows version of the patch is being tested, and the Mac and Linux versions are on the way.
