It was the first time in pop-pop history that a tourney with 13 signed-in players started AND the tracker did not crash in the beginning. Since we had to have a look on the duration of the tournament we had to split into two groups. We decided to do it by drawing. Therefore we had an audio-conference (Eno and Hyko). Afterwards we had two separate tournaments on the system with 7 and 6 Players. The first of the first group was going to play the second of the other group and the second of the first group was going to play the winner of the other group in half finals.

I am looking forward to hearing pop-rocks explanation. When missan came back and I tried to ask him for the results and asked him to enter them in the system he answered with no and wrote nothing readable. So I think it was no loss for the rest that he did not play on.
There are already some voices regarding the split-up in two groups. We can discuss this in this thread. But more important is to directly discuss date and time of the next tournament!

It is true that it is nice to play everyone, but I think that there were too many people tonight to do so. It is a shame that pop-rocks dropped out of your group, since it meant you only played 4 games in the tournament. Perhaps you would like to put forward a different form of tournament that could work better with more players. The current one is fine for small-ish numbers but all-vs-all simply takes too long after you get much beyond ten people. Hyko and I were discussing alternatives for a bit after the last one - but any input is welcome.
Anyway, congratulations Eno - I'm sorry I did not get to play you yesterday! ^_^ Thinking of statistics - is this the first time a host (or co-host) has won a tournament?

Well done Eno on another Championship victory. The semis looked like a very interesting lineup - congratulations to Ducky on beating Ryoko - that must have been some match.
I think it is best to split the games into 2 leagues when there are 10 or more players. Or else the tourney would last too long, which isn't fair on people who are working the next day or who are playing at ridiculous hours.
Hope I can make the next one and we have a similar turnout.

As far as I can judge now. There is only a slight chance for me to be able to play on the 22nd.
Until now nobody replied to my question "Who will host?". If somebody is found who is willing to commit him/herself, lousy nine days upfront, to host the tourney, then I wish all to have a competitive and fun tourney.
Hosts beeing able to use the system for hosting are: Eno, lumisa, SHOES, Squibix, Dingo, Fyrephin, Helix and Ryoko.

22nd sounds 98% good to me. Hope to be able to join. Anybody take the hosting-job? I'd offer hosting if I'd be 100% sure to be available on the 22nd. Could almost endanger the balance of my inner self if the tour could'nt take place.

I have granted host-rights to popeye just for the case you'll be able to host it. And I have given admin-rights to eno in case somebody lost his/her pwd etc. if eno will be there. Have fun if it will happen

OK, trapped. As Hyko is quite unsure if he can make it, Ducky and I are going to host the next tourney on August 22nd. I'd propose 20:00 GMT. Being a first-time host and a second-time tourney-participant, I hope you will assist me in this job. Hope to see many of you on the tracker.
@Eno: I'm unsure if a 18:00 starting-time might not be too big a sacrifice for our australian friend(s).
