does anybody happan to know where i can find the pic and masc files for nova? i cant seem to find them myself, and i feel stupider than usual.

If your asking what I assume you're asking,
Take any Plug-editor (EVone, Mission Computer or Nova Tools for mac, EVnew for PC) and open the "Nova Graphics Files".
The sprite and mask are stored together in a single RleD/8 resource. If you're on a mac you can use w00tware's DeRLE to extract them.
