?!

I've been wondering about some things in EVO:

1)Is there a way to see how many kills a pilot has?I now that you have to get a
certain number to get a higher combat rating, but I never found out how to see
the number! ( Also, could anyone list the kills you need for each rating?)

2)Does the number of ships go down permanately from a defense fleet if you
leave a system?

3)I noticed that on some of my pilots, the list of extras includes something called
a.Is this a bug, or is it something from a mission?

If anyone knows the answer to any of these questions, please respond!

Hrm. Lemme see...

1. You might be able to do this with Pilot File Editor. You can DL that from the EVO Addons page. I'm not 100% sure about this.

The Override Bible, and the EVOBAE, are full of neato information. You can DL them from the EVO Addons page, also.

Kills: Rating:
0 - Harmless
1 - Mostly Harmless
100 - Fair
200 - Average
400 - Above Average
800 - Competent
1,600 - Noteworthy
3,200 - Excellent
6,400 - Dangerous
12,800 - Deadly
25,600 - Ultimate

2. That doesn't make sense, there is a specific number of ships for each planet. But it might happen, someone else might know.

3. I have no idea about the bug text, although sometimes there is "and a" at the end of the list.

2. Not sure about EVO but in Nova they regenerate over time.
3. Yup, that's a bug. They put the string in the wrong slot. It should say "marine equipment" which you would have picked up near the end of the UE string.

So thats where it went!
(What does that equipment even do?)

It adds to your ship's crew count to boost your capture odds.

I'm not sure about number 2 but something tells me that it would get re-set when you exit the system.

Yes, I believe so. Override keeps track of how many ships from each fleet you've killed so far. Lestways, I can definitely confirm that Council Station can be defeated by landing on Gadzair (admittedly, this is in the same system, but I imagine the principle would hold) every time you need to recharge your shields. Kill a few, land, and repeat. I think the easiest way to check whether this also applies to leaving the system would be in Sumer. Demand tribute from Meria, kill its one ship, and then leave the system. Come back, demand tribute again, and it should (I believe) surrender immediately.

As Guy said, the Marine Gear does this. I believe there's one other outfit that does it too, but I can't recall. I definitely know that I made a fix plugin for myself that moves two lines of the string resource down far enough to make it correct.
