In my opinion time has a little to do with it, they have to be here a while, I know some people who've been here for like since late 96 when the disc board was set up. And have been playing longer, and I'm sure theres one of them, if they were still around, who I would call a newbie. Simply because some people just don't get it. I would say that being a "regular" you would need to be here more than 3 months, because a wide variety of things happen during that time, and a regular knows about most of these things. What's happening behind the scenes and all.
So you may start to feel like you know everything, but not yet, keep at it, positive attitude and all that, and of course a defining personality that isn't rude or mean. Then you can become a regular.
As for oldie, well you've got to be here for a few years before EVO at least.

I agree with that. Just because of how long it's been since you signed up doesn't rank your status. Even though I'm still not sure what I am, I'm definetly not a fresh newbie. I've not only been here for a few weeks but I have participated (writing post and strands) almost every day (unlike some people). I still consider myself some sort of regular-to-be or something though. I can see myself in a year or so still logging on and talking about EVO (or EV3). Till then, I hope to be accepted in your hearts and in your thoughts in daily life.
Have a good day

Look, newbies actually can be a bad thing. Back in the times when the oldies were newbies, once they became the current folks, being a newbie by that point meant something totally different. If only all of you people knew what it was like. Us veterans are still alive, and you shall never, ever know where our hideout is! We will one day take back what is ours by right. OK - since this is a newbie-bashing thread, I'll give you a target.
I'm a rank newbie... been playing the Override Demo for days...
Here's my question: What do you do when you run out of fuel?
Can anyone help me?

(long pause as Jive 320 laughs histaricly at this question) (Jive calms down and starts to answer the question) Okay you just gotta... (Jive cracks up again at the silly question) ... you gotta... (Jive cracks up one last time for 20 minutes) ... oh you are FUNNY. Seriously though, just land on an inhabited planet (it's blue on the map) and if you have used some fuel there should be a button that says refuel ship. Press it. Voila!
I also recomend to buy fuel scoops. They refuel your ship while you fly it :).
Also, if you have other questions just go to my Questions? post on the board :).
One more thing. Before asking a question try everything else before you ask. Otherwise you will make enemies fast here :).
(Jive thinks of original question and cracks up yet again...)
