If yes, the Tach. Fighter from FH because is just too cool to pass up, ultra fast and can annihilate most classes of ship without Monty Python.
If not, the Zidara or Arada because they're cool.

Game: Igazra. I just like the raw firepower tactic to just kill the opponent rahter quickly.
Plug: I agree with Andrew about the Tach. Fighter, it's just plain awesome :). I also like the Bomaarii Cruiser and Querin Battleship from F-25.

actually it came out to be every 1.01796780143245 weeks, but I rounded it off to 1.017 which came out to be 1 1/56
The Azdara - speed and shield recharge make it virtually invincible in the hands of an experienced pilot.
F-25 is the finest large addition plugin for EVO - I haven't played it, though.

Stuff EV-Edit. REAL plugin developers use ResEdit.
Actually, I haven't had all that many problems with EV-Edit. However, it's notoriously buggy and unstable, and lacks in key areas.
Why are you asking this here? If you're trying to make a major plugin, and can't decide between EV-Edit and ResEdit, you really need to get experience.

The Igadzra is the best standard ship. The UE cruiser is SLOW. Yes, yes, yes, it has some impressive waponry, but it cannot compete wih a well flown Igadzra.

------------------ Oh come on nothing, I repeat, nothing can compete with a well flown anything. AI just ain't good enough. 1.0.2's gonna be a lot harder (apparently). And what does that make my favourite ship er, whatever I feel like at the time. Once every 1 and 1/56 months, I repeat my mantra. 'All the ships are good' (if you breathe in the right places it gets quite trippy). Learn how to fly them. Or don't if you don't want to. Jeez, it's only a game (but a damn fine one :)).

The Arcturus warship (outfitted properly) is fast and extremely powerful. There should be no problem with dominating the entire galaxy with this ship.
