FW Banter (no brawl)

Our benevolent fairy-godmoderator (Zelda) has given approval for a "non-FW" banter for this forum.

What I'd like to know is what all the "FW regulars" have been up to this summer. Summer camp? Just hanging around? When do you head back to school (in BC it is the tuesday after Labour Day, or this year September 3rd).

I hope some of the people who don't post regularly anymore will cruise by and let us know how they're doing.

All I've been doing this 'summer' (I've lived in Australia and I know what summer is, and England can't compare :)) is working on hard on (url="http://"http://homepage.mac.com/mdwgmalc/")Malcolm's World(/url), playing pop-pop for hours (I still suck though), nagging my 'testers' to actually PLAY my levels, getting my two sisters hooked on MASCOT and playing around with new titles for (url="http://"http://homepage.mac.com/mdwgmalc/")Malcolm's World(/url). Not very energetic, I know, but I've still been having fun. I go to High School next year... I need to do some brainwork!

(url="http://"http://homepage.mac.com/mdwgmalc/")Malcolm's World(/url): an upcoming World for Ferazel's Wand.

I've been hanging around the house all summer. The only vacation I went on was at the very beggining of the summer when I went to Ottowa for my cousin's Barmitzvha. I'm going to an amusment park called Lake Compounce on Thursday.

Predominantly two things:

1. Working. Money is good, especially when you're going to be dropping $4100 on a TiBook 🙂
2. Working on my game.

I've also been on two vacations. The first was a week long stay in Kananaskis for lots and lots of mountain biking. The second was a long weekend excursion to visit some family friends in Kelowna, B.C.

Oh, and classes here start on the 4th 😛

What a great idea, ML. Thanks to our illustrious moderators for allowing us to do this.
Same ol', same ol' here. In a nutshell.......went to Illinois for my (are you ready?) 50th high school reunion. It was a blast! I KNOW this qualifies me for the Senior Ferazeler of the Year. I guess "harry" qualifies for the Junior Ferazeler of the Year.

Went to Denver for a horseshow, bred two mares, got satellite tv installed, gardened my brains out, had visitors from FL, sold a bunch of stuff on eBay( bought even more), am playing Cozmo's World and am on the last level (Stormy Seas). SS is driving me bonkers, but it has been fun! I really like Coz's imagination. I have been plummeting to my death in the depths of the sea a lot in this level. If anyone has found the "blue" zichron, please give me a hint. I hope everyone has had as nice a summer as .......

On one hand, I'm indecisive; but on the other, I'm not.

Nothin much. But enough to keep me from posting all summer. Back to school and Braces for me :frown: (Not able to chew for a week). went camping with horses in Southern Alberta. Might get a new e mac and a cell phone. Really hot all summer. Might go to the Interior though... Maybye Summer isn't so bad! 🙂

NOT having a job, which irks me quite a bit. The guarantee for a job I had last year fell through...along with any other possibility for finding cash this year, as there's not a job to be had in town. Literally.
NOT working on BN. Sorry, guys, laziness calls.
Working on my überessay for school. 4000 words about science in Tom Stoppard's plays due in 4 months so it can be shipped off to Wales or god-knows-where for grading. Gotta get cracking.
Playing lots of pop-pop.
Reading. Read A Beautiful Mind , The Catcher in the Rye , A Clockwork Orange , Also Sprach Zarathustra , Theodore Rex , and (ugh) Atlas Shrugged.
Sleeping. And I'm an early riser in comparison to most my age: I get up at 9 AM when I can. Consider that others get up at 1 PM. 🙂

Ah...sleeping in until noon, (or even 9 am)... enjoy it while it lasts.

(I'd love to sleep in, but my body won't let me. Crack of dawn, birds singing, I'm outta bed. It's a drag in the summer when the sun is up at 5 am. Worse in the winter when it's 8:30 before the sun rises and my office phone is ringing already!)

Age and treachery will usually overcome youth and enthusiasm.

I can't live without sleeping. The summer is practicly my sleep time. The earliest i've woken up all summer is 10:00. The latest 12:15.

Oh, spamguy, that version is newer that the one I talked about last in your thread - I've been silently updating it.

You're welcome. (I hate having a powerful conscience.)

The source itself wasn't modified (I don't think) but I added a couple features outside the source, like the window saves position and the help is searchable (not that it needs to be).

<Edit> (I just hope I won't get told off for posting something off-topic!) But I can** ask for help here! The level has an icy background and the tiles from The Labyrinth. It's quite hard but doesn't have many enemies, and it's not timed and doesn't have a wall of fire. Any suggestions for names would be greatly appreciated! 🙂 </Edit>

Hey hey hey! How dare you talk about Ferazel in a banter topic. What kind of crazy people are you? The way you talk you think this is the Ferazel board...

I spent three glorious weeks in Scotland in June/July and came home hoping to get some serious testing done for Malc. However my daughter decided to put a spanner in the works by having her baby three weeks early - my first grandchild so I've been a bit occupied for the last couple of weeks. I may get back to normal sometime - if I can ever work out what normal is.

Well, I lounged about, except I also went to a tech camp (with T3 lines in the dorms!), visited family in Seattle, and vacationed in Aruba.
