Old logo of Ferazel's Wand

I like this one better than the old one. How about you?

The old one looks too simple. I like the new one better.

Where are you guys digging this stuff up? 🙂
I did the original Ferazel logo myself, much like the Harry logo. Eventually though I had to defer to Mr. Andrew Hunter's far superior artistic abilities. I really like what he came up with.

I don't "dig stuff up" but that is from the "Ambrosia Times". (http://www.AmbrosiaS...erazel_logo.gif)

Is there any way we can play all these levels not included in the final release, Ben? They all look really cool.

Yeah, when they "trashed" the old levels were they destroyed or just put away? Also, who wants to see an interview with Ferazel? See it (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/cgi-bin/ubb/newsdisplay.cgi?action=topics&number;=14&forum;=*The+Ambrosia+Times+Newsletter&DaysPrune;=1000&article;=000007&startpoint;=20")here(/url)

Since there seems to be an interest in the game's hoary past, here's the original version demoed at Macworld '98, the version from which the above screenshot was taken. In this version you had to press a special key to grab onto a wall, and you couldn't climb over edges, among other differences. There's only one small level but it's an interesting flashback to times gone by. This is unsupported, do not write Ambrosia about it, etc. For diehards only.

I guess I'm a diehard...downloaded and played it right away.

Biggest challenge was the grabbing onto walls. Took me a couple of minutes to master that and never did figure out how to change to any other spell.

Got the most enjoyment out of all the nested folders though!

Thanks for the flashback, Ben.

Well, this was an unexpectedly pleasant privilege.

As always, you rock, Ben!

(edit) Wow, that brings back memories of different points in the development process of the game I'm working on! I remember having a very similar problem to the 'sliding on the platform' bug in this version of FW (which was a pain to fix, by the way :D). Of course, once I changed the keys, moving around was a bit easier 😉 (/edit)

OH NO! Help! I played that level of yours and then, ahhhhhhhhhh! The real version of FW was screwed up when I tryed to play it! The controls were wrong and The game altogether was just plain screwed up! Ben, help!!!!!!!!

By the way, what about Loch Dortus?

Hooray for Ben, who keeps the Ferazel world overstimulated years after FW's release!

In your system folder. Trash the preferences and you should be able to reset your controls with little problem. Hopefully. 🙂

Hey, if you're in love with someone, then you have every right to completely screw up their life.--cynical me!

Make SURE you delete the file called Ferazel's Wand Preferences and not the folder called preferences. That would make you a very sad camper, although, I am not sure if it is possible to delete the folder. I don't want to find out. 🙂

The Ferazel's Wand Preferences are located inside of the preferences folder.

I had trouble getting it to run, but I will try bootong up with OS 9 instead.
Thanks for the early Christmas present, Ben. 🙂

Just thinking about deleting my entire preferences folder gives me goose-bumps.

Tried again and got it to work under OS X. Stuff like that makes you appreciate the development process. 🙂

By the way, I can't find an exit in the first level. Is there one? I went to the transporters and all but still.
