Yes, the old board hed some spam, but it was a more personal board, if you will. Entering it gave you an almost fuzzy feeling inside that you were among people just like you. I have an overwhelming felling that the board is being over commercialized.
Commercialized implies commerce, aka, money. I agree that this web board looks more professional than the old ones did, but we're not making any money from them, so I don't know if I'd use the "commercialized" label.
Now for another topic. Old plugins. Some Old Plugins should be kept, whether or not they are complete. Some of these unfinished, buggy plugs inspired some of our top plug creators, you should council them on which plugs should be kept.
Well, I'll likely leave that choice up to the admins who take over the file archives. Redoing descriptions for hundreds of out of date plugins is a huge undertaking. I'm sure they'll strike a good balance.
Topic # 3. The mock up EV/Ambrosia page looks alright. I see that Ambrosia is following Apple's redisign of their tabbed website giving it a distinctive Apple product look, excellent. Though unoriginal
Fair enough, yes, the tab bar at the top was definitely inspired by Apple's new web site -- but then again, most of the well-known web sites employ this method. And for good reason: it works.

Why, yes. Actually, those nav-buttons on top was the first thing I noticed, immediately wondering if you've (Andrew) made them, and why the rest of the site wasn't updated in the same way.
If I may express some suggestions as a webdesigner (professional more or less, I've sold sites to 'inc.' companies ;-). Add atleast som hint of color. Although professional, the grayscale page looks dull. Maybe a hint of red? The Ambrosia logo in the right corner would be enough. Hmm. Now that I look at it again, it has some blue. I'd still add the logo. Just the god actually, not the frame/text etc.
A matter of taste I suppose.

Yes, I am thinking of putting the logo somewhere, but I haven't decided where it would actually fit.
In other news, I have the Newswire up and running -- web admins can post/edit/delete news for EV/EVO, complete with a user-comment system, archiving, etc.
I have a small complaint about after replying to a message, Is it really necessary to have advertisments while you are witing to be forwarded to the topic list? It might just speed things up a bit since these ads are already at the top of each Ambrisia chatroom.
