I just started my reign of terror, and now I'm the proud owner of about six planets.
8000 credits per day is my income.
I'm using a Rebel Destroyer..
How many planets do you have?
(on a side note, I killed the bounty hunter, and guess how many credits he was carrying? 500. Really not worth the trouble.)

I severly cheated and with an upgraded Alien Criuser, I got 35,000 Credits a day. I basicly did what Luke did, but I took over some idependent planets

I have mostly independent planets (gotta love those defenders) but also some of the Confed border worlds..
I like taking the border confed and independent planets. I have seventeen in my game right now.

As for me, I'm not sure what my income was, but without cheating, I had somewhere around 20,000 credits/day. Not sure, exactly, it was a long time ago. I do remember my first captured planet was Hikeeba in the Gymkata system.

Everything except Sol, Ruby and Pashlife (or basically any planet with 3,000 ships)
The hardest was probably Alpha Centauri with 100 frigates. I jumped in, knocked off 4 or 5 and then jumped out again.
And I took over Clotho II in a manta (I gained the deadly rating with it too. I bought it straight off from arena, since the hawks trade-in cost is more than the manta, went back to the origional EV and started blasting away (or, more correctly, Monty Pythoning away :p) at kestrels)

I fairly dominated every single planet but Ruby and the 4 in Sol. Even Centuari and Palshife etc. Spacebombs, long battles etc, nothing ever seemed impossible.
Using the cheap clog the system with 36 fighters cheat, I've captured every single planet.

You don't have to cheat. A couple of speed upgrades and a three laser cannons can easily beat a defender, which is what most independent planets use as defence.
The reason why I never took Clotho or Palshife is because I did the rebel string before, and I kind of wanted to be half rebel half criminal. But then I opened the pilot file and took them both anyway.
By the way, I don't have Ruby, I forgot to mention it, but really it should go without saying. Anyone who can take that over without cheating needs professional medical help.
Now I have all except the 4 Sol and Ruby. I make 138,000 a day, and so far have amassed a fortune of 325 million, but it's hard to get around. In every other system is a bounty hunter, and to avoid constant fighting I just use my wealth to pay the 100,000+ bribes which the Confed and Rebel ships demand. I feel like Joe Pesci out of Casino.
Also, because I have so much money, I change my ships practically every half hour of play, just to keep things interesting. I start taking over Mars, and I'm just wearing it down. When I've had enough, I'll give up and then in a few weeks take up the pilot file and carry on, taking out the defence fleet slowly then jumping out. By the end of the year I may have dominated every planet.

Maybe, but you just try and take on 36 rapiers in a shuttle

That's how I took over Ruby once. Unfortunately, when I upgraded my 6500 to OS9, I lost the Pilot File. :frown:
(oh, and that 6500 is my computer for my room, mainly for EV and a stereo.
