In my initial quest to climb to the top, I did not stop until I had my own Rebel Cruiser, thanks to the (Rebel) alien missions. HOWEVER, when I think back at the ship that was the most exhilarating to fly without modifications beyond the original parameters of EV, and gave me the biggest rush when I could cripple the big ships with the combination of firepower, speed, and elusiveness, the Corvette gets my vote, hands down. I was also a big fan of the Luxury Liner, but that's only because I dreamt of ripping out those couches, saunas, and wall-to-wall universal TV's... and... well... you get the picture. Probably why I started making plug-ins, now that I think about it....

Rebel Cruiser is the best because it looks cool and is the most powerful. All you have to do is get the max guns max shield inhancements and all the upgrades with the picture of a screw driver. (if you're short on cash demand tribute from liberty station masters planet torgo prime and all the pirate systems, they'll owe you about 1000 credits a day!)
rebel cruiser because it's awesome and it can kick anyones butt hard (my brother is the best he can beat anyone with the ship. so far he gets over 30,000 cr tribute a day! he has over 20m cr!) the rebels may have only 3 ships but they are much better than the confeds
..... oh and watch out for those sissy-boy confeds cybernetic eye pirate :eek:
You just can't beat a good ol' Rebel Destroyer. Load 'em to the max, then convert all its cargo room, load it up too, and you have a formidable fighting machine. I've blown the crap outta frigates, kestrels, and carriers with that little baby. And lived to tell about it.

It would have to be the Kestrel.
The Rebel Destroyer is my fighting favourite for all the obvious reason - but in a Kestrel (The Cassius) I feel at home.
It doesn't have the firepower of cruisers, or the speed of the Rebel Destroyer, but it's a deadly, beautiful vessel that really makes you shout "Ha! I have one now!" to all those pesky Kestrels that hovered in Independant systems and blew you to pieces when you leapt in and tried to jump out without looking around.
Plus, those Lightnings are great for weakening opponents up. I can't wait for EV Nova - fighters will be even stronger, as they'll have good AI, then.

Put me down for the Rebel Cruiser.
The Rebel Destroyer is a nice ship, but since you have to side with the Rebellion to get it (or capture one, but then the Confederation doesn't trust you), I usually fly a Corvette instead.
