I've never had three, often get two, and sometimes four... and I've never tried destroying the alien fighter before the final mission.

Well, I have noticed that AI ships often get an extra supply of ammo (e.g. Mantas sometimes have two missiles instead of one), making it more realistic, but I don't think it's supposed to apply to fighters.

I thought AI Manta's always had 3 missiles.

From the insight I've gained, that's suppost to be the case (Mantas have two missiles, but when flown by the AI, they get three). AI ships get, I believe, a 60% ammo increase.
I have encountered a bug, I go in to resedit and speed up my ship to 500 and when i start moveing in the game the screen cinda cuts off about 5 inches from where it is sopposed to. also I CAN'T MOVE!!!!! Did Matt do that to keep cheaters out or whay?

Actually, they have one. And sometimes they get two...I suppose very occasionally they might three, but I don't recall ever seeing that. But I suppose 60% sounds like a good figure.
TheLonePenguin, I haven't ever heard of such a bug...did you try to edit the pilot file or something? That shouldn't happen if you edit ships in EV Data.

The gamespace in an Escape Velocity star system is finite, and it sounds like you've just hit the edge. It's the same in EV Override. In EV Nova, it's set up so you eventually loop around. Has this never happened to you before?
