Ugh, no pizza. I'm a little sick of the stuff after eating it in like 7 out of 13 consecutive meals last week. Pizza is normally great, but I don't even want to think about it until next month at this point.

I went for nearly a whole week eating nothing but pizza once. It started out fun, but then I got sick of it. Then it was fun again, because by the end I had almost reached the first Level of InsanityΒ.

About the Mac/PC "Argument" I've got to say I support Bari. All my friends use PCs... all of them.... and no, I will not get new friends. Recently, one of my mac using buddies, whom had used Macs all his life, like myself, dumped his Mac for a new extremely fast PC. Now, this shoked me at the time, and I was rather irate, but I came to udnertsand. All my friends are good with their computers, and they all love to play the newest games. So... they hold LAN parties, and they invite me, and my poor old Mac, can only play two games with them, forcing me to borrow a computer, or bum off my friends, not good.
So! Since I have no job, and no prospect of getting one of those spiffy and beautious new Macs, (no way I could get a grand of dough for a computer, NO WAY) So no new Mac for me. I managed to collect 600 bucks, pulled some parts from another Mac (IDE) borrowed a part from a friend, and I now have the fastest and cheapest PC out of all my friends. 600 bucks for a top of the line machine isn't bad, I must say. And while I would agree with many of the points that are brought up in refrence to Macs, 600 bucks beats anything, when your talking about the fact that no more then that can be had, especially when my mac is just a Beige G3, lacking the beauty and speed of the newer models. That is my peice on the matter.

I have never seen anyone successfully argue that PCs are better. The main argument is the fact that they have more software and get it faster; but that is an argument about software companies, and not how good PCs are. How long since compaq or dell or IBM released something revolutionary? Every year Apple is giving us an innovative peice of original technology, and then all the PC companies rush frantically to get their rip-off out the door.
Speed? Speed? I have a bondi 233mhz iMac. My friend just bought one of those super-duper-cool Compaqs that has 900mhz or something. You know what his face looks like when he sees mine starting up? And mine loading starcraft? And mine opening photoshop?

I think you don't mean they are faster, but that they have more megahurtz. That is like trying to judge the speed of the car by how big of a gas tank it has.
Anyways, I have never seen what ground the pc-enthusiasts have to stand on. I have never seen a mac/pc argument where the pc argumenters are not ripped apart.

My older brother and I built a Athlon 1.4gig recently, complete with an 80gig harddrive, 64meg Raytheon 3D card, 516meg RAM, DVD player, Windows XP (such an OSX rippoff!) CD burner etc., and I still love my Macs.
Mac and Windows operating systems are two totally different worlds. The Mac OS is much more user-friendly, easier to use, and all around better look. That's really my primary reason for having a major preference... and PCs are a pain to network.

I'll tell you something about how evil Microsoft is. The XBox. Just look at the pathetic thing and how much it resembles PCs.
1. Xbox is huge, so is a PC.
2. Xbox's controller ports are USB ports, so are a PCs.
3. Xbox is unreliable as there have been several instances of it freezing. So is a PC.
4. XBox is pretty much ripping off old video game companies by coming in late, so is the PC. Now you're saying, "Sony did that too!" They did to a certain degree, but not as much as XBox. Sony has some original ideas. They were the first successful system with CDs, the first with analog buttons, the first with built in rumble, and the first with DVDs.
5. XBox's controller is just a rip off of all the other features of other controllers. PS2's analog sticks and buttons, a very similair shape to Dreamcast's form and sholder button placement. I remember they did copy a Nintendo thing, but I can't remember what.

XBox also features the highest graphics capabilities of any of the new game consoles. I prefer the Gamecube from what I've seen, but games such as "Halo" really put a new meaning to seemingly-real action...
Personally, I think Xbox and Gamecube are kind of junky and overrated

Go play Rogue Squad II or Halo sometime, and you'll suddenly find personal computer games obsolete.
I was never into the gaming console things. Mainly because about 1 year after you buy one (and they aren't exactly cheap) there is one out that makes yours obsolete. Same for computers, I know, but at least you can upgrade computers.
I have an n64 that I got when it first came out on birthday, and I got CVGS so I play PSX games on my computer. I would love to see an emulator for one of the new consoles (namely ps2) but it will never happen. Say, does anyone know if Grand Theft Auto 3 will ever come out for mac?
And does anyone here know anything about starcraft 2? Is it a rumor or a plan for the future or a project that is under development?

Heh, it probably has a Celeron(sp?). :barf: A 900Mhz P3 should beat out a 233 iMac, though probably not by much given that Windows is also more resource intensive. Apple's been closing the gap a bit with OS X, but still...
As for Starcraft 2, about all I know is that Blizzard has stated that they want to make another game set in the Starcraft universe someday. It would seem logical to include the Protoss/Zerg hybrids ( :eek: ) alluded to in the Brood War bonus level, and I've heard rumors about the return of the Xel'Naga in that. But all I know for sure is that Blizzard says they will likely make it someday.
