I finally waste alien cusiurs, took me 3 tries with Maxed out Kristal + 2 rebal cusier + 4 corvett + 60 missles + 999 rockets + 2 fighters
anyway, is there any way to kill alien fighters? they don't die and I believe alien fighters are much stronger than alien cusier.

Dude its not that hard, the thing only has forward fireing weapons, so all you have to do is stay behind it. I did it in a Corvette easily, and some of the people on this board talk about doing it in fighters.

Could a Scoutship even deal out enough damage to overwhelm the Alien Cruiser's sheild recharge rate? (not to mention one seeker drone would probably kill it)

I've never done it in a Scoutship, although I managed it with a Courier with full proton weaponry (a turret and 2 cannons w00t :D) and 2 javelin pods. And yes, for every 100 points of damage you do, the Cruiser gains back about 97

** I finally wasted the alien cruiser. It took me 3 tries with a M axed out Kestral , 2 rebel cruisers , 4 corvettes , 60 misiles, 999 rockets and 2 fighters

The best way to kill an Alien Fighter is to lock it in a tractor beam and blast it with turrets and cannons. If it turns and fires its beam, ignore it. The beam does very little damage, and you will kill the fighter much faster than it will kill you. You may also encounter rogue Alien Fighters elsewhere in the EV universe, as they periodically pop-up.
Do not use any long range weapons. They are useless. Get as many guns as possible and use the tractor beam to control your speed and direction. I've beaten alien fighters with Corvettes with enough patience.

You get it if you work for the Rebellion and complete the Astrodyne Outpost (I believe it is that) missions. They award it to you as a gift, and it cannot be purchased or sold.

Return destination is initial stellar. Mission success increases your Rebellion standing by 64 units. Special ship type is Confed Interceptors. Special ship amount is 2. Special ship will appear at travel destination. You can abort this mission.**
Once you do that mission, you're set. Keep going and do the other 5 missions. Hope that clears things up for you.
