Hardslab turns around and there he sees standing a very large alien, greenish in color.
"Hello friend." He sayes with great sorrow. "My name Raft, in your language anyway." "What do you whant!" Hardslab quickly answers! "Your help!" "Really!" Hardslab answered with scepticism!
After several minutes Raft explains that he is from a reletivly large colony of spiritual Cerebrits who think that the rulers of their savage nation are too blood thirsty to understand the needs of their people! The Cerebrits have been ruled by the Cerebrus long enough!
"What do you propose?" Hardslab answers! "You shuold know that the Cerebrits are very mentaly developed race posesing great power, power they have been hiding from the Cerebrus!" added Raft. "What are you proposing?" Hardslab asked with annoyance! "As you know the Cerebrus are attacking all surrounding races! We have also been working on technology to battle the Cerebrus, but we have reason to suspect that they are on to us, so now would be as good a time as ever to unleash our wrath upon them!" "I see! An allie? Tell me more!" Hardslab replied! "We have a capable stirke force, fifty heavy fighters! If every race sends a strike force into various parts of Cerebrus space we would be able to stop them!" "Raft your idea is... ineresting! Do you whant to come with me to the Ceantaur HQ and discuss this issue further!" "Why not"....

OOC: Good, Rebel Council, though try not to use so many "!"s. Also, the Centaur don't exist any more, they joined the Phoenix. Now there are only the Phoenix and the Cerebrus. Read my prologue thingy.

Raft responds...
"i have already acquired a means of trasportation." skeptically, hardslab agreed to join raft, though not without informing an aide and slipping a sidearm under his shirt. with the rebel strike force waiting to chase him down if anything were to go wrong, and the dreadnought being readied for launch, hardslab followed raft to his ship.
in the old centaur headquarters, now the administration complex for a local garrison within phoenix territory, hardslab and raft joined the warriors and strategists already gathered. only slightly annoyed by the hassles offered by the security forces, raft calmly outlined his proposition for an alliance. at first somewhat skeptical, the assembled phoenix allies decided the potential gains outweighed the risks and accepted the offered aid. the strategists began planning the series of feints and counterfeints which would draw the enemy's forces away from core cerebrus worlds, where the cerebrits would deliver the true blow from within the empire. the plan was brilliant, absolutely flawless and foolproof... in theory, at least

Then a Phoenix admiral called Vahar spoke up. "However, you must remember that the Cerebrus are extremely powerful and rebel forces will suffer extreme losses. We can supply them with ships and materials but on a limited basis.
"We also have to accept the possibility that the Cerebrus may retaliate against us and get past our defense perimeter. After that, we would retaliate, and soon both of our defense lines would be in ruins and the war would degenerate into a bloody fight to the death.
"I suggest that we all commit to providing as much supplies and weapons as possible to the success of this operation and make sure we are ready for a Cerebrus counterattack. I also suggest that the Rebels and Aliens start to really help each other so then the Rebels will help us fight the Cerebrus and we in turn will supply them with technology to fight the confederation. We have already given them much needed supplies and weapons but if our ships actually went to the Milky Way and fought the Confederation, the war would soon be over there and the Rebels would be able to commit a sizable portion of their fleet to fight the Cerebrus.

the debate which ensued lasted for hours. supporters of vahar's proposal held that the rebels could give them an overwhelming numerical advantage, while its opponents countered that few human ships could actually alter the balance of power, and such a distraction could give the cerebrus time to realize what was happening. all agreed that any attack on the cerebrus held great danger, and finally they abandoned both the initial strike plan and vahar's proposed plan. they began again, attempting to salvage every worthwhile point from both plans while minimizing the warnings they would give to the cerebrus. ships were divided into units, some extremely heavy strike wings, others light groups to decoy the cerebrus with hit and run attacks, and a single messenger was sent to palshife with some very detailed instructions and a prayer. with their planning complete and their message on its way, the phoenix launched the first elements of an attack meant to open the cerebrus to the real strike package they all hoped would be launching as soon as their message was recieved
