A new section has been added to the Escapce Velocity Empire. Go to (url="http://"http://evempire.netfirms.com")http://evempire.netfirms.com(/url) and click on the Shipyard! You can see stats for the ships. Right now I only have the shuttlecraft and light freighter up, but more are on the way!

Provides good information, but try throwing the shipyard and comm views of the vessels on your data pages (and maybe even the target pics). It would add much more taste, and newcomers might enjoy seeing what you're talking about.

Couple suggestions:
- Mention that your shield and armor stats are the ResEdit version (10x in-game stats), or change them to in-game (probably the best idea). - Change the <p> tags to <br> tags. And better yet, also line them up in a table with the images Skyblade suggested. - Put a link back to the shipyard, and possibly the main page, on each entry. - You might want to change the part on Light Freighter where it says "Here's the stats for the shuttlecraft."
If I have time, I might throw together a quick page with these changes for you, just so you can see what it looks like.

The ResEdit numbers for shields and armour are ten times the values shown in the Shipyard Info dialog. The only exception is for ships that have negative shield/armour values. The system they use is best explained by the following quote:

Insano - I posted my idea for a redo of your standard shipyard page (Using the shuttle as a template, minus the netfirms ads) (url="http://"http://home.attbi.com/~e-gamerguy1/insano.html")here(/url). I reformatted the page layout ot look nicer, and converted all you messy font tags and such to proper CSS. It displays fine in all the browsers I've tried, except that some of them don't like bitmaps. You really should convert your logo on the top to a JPEG; you'll get better compatibility that way, along with probably a smaller imaage at only a slight quality reduction.
Anyway, you could probably almost copy and paste my source code over to your files. I don't mind, though I would appreciate a mention somewhere in the credits.
Also, for ships with weapons standard, I'd list them using a fake <ul>, suchas:
Standard Weapons:<br> ย 2 Proton Turrets<br> ย 2 Torpedo Launchers + 12 ammo<br> ย 2 Missile Launchers + 10 ammo<br> ย 1 Heavy Rocket Launcher + 6 ammo
That should show up something like:

To get an ampersand by itself (to display the ampersand in the code), write &. That would make the dots ย.

Oh yeah, like I don't know that? I used that on several of my BfS pages. I just assumed that since HTML was off, it wouldn't convert it. Obviously, the board can handle some html.
BTW EVula, ย is the correct way to get the opt-8 character, rather than ยท. I actually opened a WYSIWYG editor for five seconds to find that out once. The things aren't totally useless...

Heh, really? I'd assumed you used A WYSIWYG editor, since some of the code looked like stuff I've seen generated by them elsewhere. Actually, there's a set of new HTML standards coming out soon, which it appears even EVula isn't using for the Lair. That will render all existing WYSIWYgs obsolete, because I haven't seen one yet that does it. Heard of XML yet, EVula? It's actually not that much different... all my BfS III sites use it now, if anyone wants to see some examples. Mostly just forcing people to close all the tags (even stuff like <br> - that's now <br />, self-closing), quote all attributes, case-sensitive, etc. More info is at (url="http://"http://www.w3.org")www.w3.org(/url)
