I didn't think this question worthy of its own topic, and this seemed the best place to deposit it. The missions whereby you transport an old man around for a bit, and end up killing off quite a load of pirates with the aid of some Corvettes, against a formidable fleet of Kestrels... that actually happened right? What I mean by that is, those are original missions in stock EV right, seems to me they were called the "Artemis Missions" or somesuch.

ZenMasta T, you're right. The mission, if I remember correctly, is called "T.A.G., You're It!"
Jacob, if you want, I can show you calculations proving that the proton cannon is better. This is against shields, which you usually are shooting against. The cumulative damage per unit of time is in fact greater for the laser (and plus it's lighter and cheaper).
