Ok,It's a Poll. Why? I've played a lot of TC Plugins, and I'm bored. I'd like to know what's your favourite TC Plug, and why.

I can't really think of a total conversion I actually liked... Frozen Heart had some good missions, but almost all the ships were ugly (but that's an Override plugin anyhow). If I ever finish "Dreden War" one of these days, it might deserve a vote or two.

Since there are few TCs for Escape Velocity, I'll have to say E2: Dark Horzion. It holds something similar to traditional EV, and yet offers something completly unique. If you want a more detailed explanation, wait for my story to be finished.

Oh God, not another poll. I thought we were finishing up with this fad...
I must say, too, that there have not been a lot of TCs that I have liked. Everyone has it's weak points... Pale was cool, but I guess it's not a TC. Final Battle was awesome, but I don't think it counts as a TC, either.

If Pale and Galactic Scourge could be considered as total conversions, they would certainly receive my vote. Final Battle had superb missions, though some of the graphics could have been better (and the bugs got annoying as well).
Frozen Heart is by far the best TC for either of the EV games to date (and it is not an EVO plug-in; it was designed to work perfectly well with EV as well as Override). My favorite plug for EV specifically is EVGE, although its an expander and not a TC. Pale owns as well. Quantumire SE will ROCK when its finally released, but I'm not sure if its just for EVO or not.

I actually prefer Femme Fatale, but same difference. For EV specific, I'd have to say the various Empire plugs, E2 being my favorite.

I'd have to say that my favorite TC plugs are the following, and for the following reasons:
Frozen Heart: Excellent gameplay, excellent plot, excellent use of the engine. Darn good graphics overall as well.
Femme Fatale: As with FH is has a great plot and gameplay. Even better is that it uses the EVO 1.0.1 engine to a good many of it's "trick limits" with good results.
New Republic: Excellent graphics and a good plotline involving the aliens. It actually precedes Nova and the Polaris idea with it's Babylonian cultural idea and how they relate to the aliens.

But of course New Republic has never been finished and released, it is in perpetual beta.

Quite true, jomor. It's still one of the better plugs out there however.
Empire of Crime. Lots of new ships, technologies, I like the missions, and lots and lots of money.

Potentially , yes, if the mission conflicts and a few other things can be cleaned up up.
But it doesn't seem quite fair to list an unfinished plug that is not available to the general EV community.
"Cashew'? New name to me, but apparently we met on Starlight at some point.

Since I seem to have your attention: Did you fix that big mission bug that forge found at one point? I recall you saying something about it being rather major and affecting several plotlines.
Just curious, I'd really like to see it come out.
Loki is the man to talk to at this point for anything NR related... last I talked to him it sounded like he was going to scrap alot of the current Resource work since it was bugged so much. The graphics do kick ass though

Uh, which one? The biggest I remember was a VisBit problem that would affect several mission sets. And that one I did not fix because I came down with a serious case of the lazies at about that time.

You aren't the only one

That'd be the one. And in regards to what IE said there, is AJ just going to redo the whole thing or is Joe actually going to debug it at some point?

Dunno. Haven't heard anything from anybody for many moons. But getting it debugged and cleaned up for release is still on my "to do - or else" list.

Or else Republic will step on you? Owie.

Worse. The Kzin want it released.
Ah,you're a Niven fan. Now,if you'll explain to me what this New republic thing is,I'll keep the Crazy Eddy Squadron guarding the Alderson Point into the Mote. If you don't explain,I will have no alternative to release the Motie hordes upon you. Try facing down a squad of Warrior caste! BTW:Has anyone noticed that the Alderson Drive is a completely scientific and logical explanation for the FTL used by EV ships?
