Ok, I have anothe poll: Which shuttlecraft is better, the EV one or the EVO one? I say the EV one because it's faster, and if you put 3 lasers in it it's as good as a Defender.

The EV shuttle. It's faster, and it doesn't look like it's made of wood. True, the EVO shuttle is armed, but not enough to be of any use.

This is one of the few times I actually put an EVO vessel in front of an EV counterpart. The EVO shuttle sprite seems to look better, though it does appear to be made of rusted metal or wood. It can even make a good fighter against the renegades when armed with blaze cannons.
But over all, I don't really like shuttles.

I agree with Skyblade. The EVO shuttle being slower isn't much of an issue because most other ships in EVO are too. And by being armed at the beginning, it has 5 more tons of room.
I also don't like shuttles in general.

EV Shuttle because when you can equip it with 20 proton turrets a alien fighter bay with 30 fighters and 40 heavy fusion beams, well it pretty much rocks. Oh I forgot 99999 shielding to.

Of course, when doing that, an EVO Shuttle would rock just as much when fitted with 20 Phase Turrets, 30 Azdaras, and 40 Phased Beams.
Well, the EVO one... because the EV shuttle doesn't have any weopons. But if I were to give the EV shuttle 2 laser cannons, well... it's still suck. This is the first time I have voted for an EVO ship. I like EV a LOT better than EVO.

Sorry EV shuttle beats the EVO shuttle, its faster, can be armed with better weapons, (basic EVO weapons aren't very effective) EV laser turrets can do a bit of damage real quick. Also it looks better, the EVO shuttle does not have a better sprite :p.

My four different answers to the question:
Stock Model: EVO shuttle. Its armed. 'Nuff said for this "category".
Looks: EV shuttle all the way. Its got that nice, simple look to it. Also, it is, of all the ships, the most realistic looking; it looks like something that could actualy be built.
And, as previously mentioned, the EVO shuttle looks like a rusted piece of crap.
Usability: Bah, they both suck so much, neither one wins.
Personal Preference: EV shuttle.

When I first started playing EV, and my family saw the shuttle I was flying, they burst out laughing. A "mini-van" they dubbed it. I think it is actually sort of cool, because, like everyone else said, it is realistic. I think that it could be a whole lot better looking, but at least the piddly little shuttle in EV makes sense, as apposed to the flying-feces shuttle of EVO.
Neither are pratical ships. What is a single blaze or laser cannon going to do for you? In EV(O), if you cannot destroy a ship (or, in the case of some pers/govs, bring its sheilds down so far that it runs) then you really can't defend yourself. It would make a whole lot more sense to arm freighters and weaker ships with weapons that repel the attackers. I have seen serveral plugins that have turret designed to blast other ships far away so that you can make your getaway. It is much more interesting, realistic, and usable than anything else you can arm a freighter with.
But back to the topic. Favoring the EVO shuttle because of it's armament is foolish. To have a faster ship like the EV shuttle, at least you can run away from pirates. But sacraficing looks and speed in exchange for a totally useless cannon is foolish.

You sure about that? Take a closer look at the EVO shuttle... It's structure is that of liver, not intestines.
The EVO Shuttle is not as useless in a practical sense as many people make it out to be. It's slower speed isn't really a factor, as I mentioned, since other things in EVO are too, as long as you don't take it to the Crescent (but since I don't advocate suicide, we can safely ignore that point :p). In fact, relative to the "Defender of EVO, the Krait, the EVO shuttle is actually faster and has a better chance of escaping. 275/500 (EV shuttle/Defender) is .55, whereas 200/350 (EVO shuttle/Krait) is .571. Not that you need to run from a Krait of course, since you can just kill it instead. But the EVO shuttle is fast enough to escape anything it can't out-fight, which is not something you can say of the EV shuttle.
The Blaze Cannon at start is a definite advantage in other ways too. For example, of you equip each shuttle with the maximum three guns, the EVO shuttle still has 5 tons left to enhance it with an Escape pod or something.
As for looks, that's purely subjective, and anyway, er... I take function over form.
Well, you're not really in a shuttle long enough to really worry about it, but I would say the EV shuttle. The EVO one as too slow, and gets beaten by 4 kraits.
I'll chuck in a vote for the EVO shuttle.
