True, though the lines wouldn't be carbon copies or anything, just have the same basic idea. The trick is that this other way, the 'Fed leaders come off looking like totally self obsessed evil people who'd fry the rest of humanity for themselves, and I don't think they're that bad. Much like the Feds in Nova, in fact - actually, that analogy is so incredibly close that I'm not going to say any more about it, for fear of giving the story away. Anyhow, for Confed supporters who may be getting mad, they'll get a much better face eventually. I'm just not sure I want to engage in that kind of serious Confed bashing, since sequels are't guaranteed.
