OK, why is the rebel destroyer good again? Anyway, I'll pick the Rebel Cruiser. Power, pretty good speed, i think it looks better than a rebel destroyer.

What are we polling exactly? Rebel Destroyer vs. Rebel Cruiser? I think you know my vote, though I usually fly Cruisers in webstories, because maneuverability and skill has somewhat less bearing there, in-game, I prefer the Destroyer for most purposes.

If its Destroyer versus Cruiser, I'd have to go with the Cruiser. If I get far enough through the missions to be able to afford one of those, and have enough standing with the Rebels to get them to let me have them, I want a Command Ship that I can run around in and feel important I must say, I like big ships, and even more, I love little fighter escorts.

Reb. Cruiser. My motto is still "better dead than Confed!"!!! That ship just looks cool, and though I may not neccesarily want it as my own ship (I mostly fly Kestrels), it's still got to be the best, especially when it's souped up.

Well, if we get our pick from the plethora of EV spacecraft out there, I'm afraid I must change my vote from Rebel Cruiser, to Corvette. With all the engine upgrades its damn fast and it just seems like a natural mercenary/pirate vessel. Hit and Run Hit and Run! Just the way I like it.

In regular EV, can you do that? I mean have Rebel Cruiser escorts. I suppose you could disable them, and try to capture them, but thats not too practical...
I vote for Rebel Cruiser. I need the fighters, because I spend all the time in fights against several ships at once, and its good to have some help. Escorts are good, but not as controlable as fighters.
You need all the engine upgrades you can get. I have hacked my EV data to make the reb. cruiser a bit faster and have more fuel, and its pretty much perfect.
ZenmastaT, you like the vette? Thats weird. Its almost the exact same as the kestrel but not as strong or well armed.

PS- Does anyone know where I can get Dash Riprock by Sparks2002? It was the first EV serial novel/web story thing. Now there are dozens, and the EVWeekly seems to be gone so im wondering if anyone has a copy that they can send me.. thanks

I've always found that the Kestrel is far to overpriced for what you get. True, a couple lightnings can really make a difference, but overall, I prefer the light warship that is the Corvette, because you can get it early and keep it for a long time, doing whatever pleases you. I hardly ever get Kestrels in my games, because by the time I have enough money, I've already got access to the better military ships that cost either less or a little more.

Heh, you might be surprised at how many of us around here will take a 'Vette over a Kestrel. I might even if they were the same price. The Kestrel does allow for some interesting things involving the Lightnings, but I use it as a novelty item only, and not very often at that.
Oh, and as for your mention of minor data file hacking, forget it. Go with Stock scenario, that's what this poll is about. If I can hack one outfit item, I vote Rebel Cruiser over Rebel Destroyer, but with the Default Scenario, it's gotta be the Destroyer.
