The confederation had just been overthrown. All remnants are slowly being destroyed. Any remaining frigates and cruisers are quickly defecting. Now, a new enemy has arised. Pirates. Not only are these the pirates that we know, they are also many of the remaining confederation ships. This new aliance has also formed with the aliens. This alliance has been called the alliance of empires. Will the Rebels be able to overthrow three empires, and achieve total peace throughout the galaxy?
Ok, now everyone join in. Hopefull someone will be the alliance of empires or I'll have to be. David, I'm just assuming that the confederation will eventually fall in battle for sol. Join in on this one and you might be able to have your comeback

No, no...We won't go off onto another "Battle for Sol" topic till the first is complete. We don't know if the Confederation will crumble yet, so the first topic must be completed.

Huh, that'll be another 3 months. I say we just start this one now. Anyway, how many people post in battle for sol? 3? Besides, there are more people on the Rebels and I don't want to have to go back and read the whole thread. Besides, it's easy to fix. Confeds win battle for sol, insert them instead of the rebels. Let's just start now.

Sorry man, but we've put to much time into the original topic to just go and dump it. We're even making a plugin for it, so the original is still very important, and we intend on finishing the story.
Well, could you please finish it soon then? I'll probably just post here periodically to keep it close to the top.

That all depends of what the other two major posters decide, but the likely case is that the "Battle for Sol" topic will continue for some time. If the original is closed soon, we'll simply post a new one to continue where we left off (as I said before).
The pace is probably going to be rather slow, as David has been rather occupied lately, and I'm pretty sure I can guess with what. If I'm right, his posts may be few and far between for the next several months, and Captain Skyblade and I need his input before we can do stuff to keep it fair, which is important to all of us. In fact, we're waiting for an important tidbit right now thatt we need before Captain Skyblade can do anything, and I have a standing request with him that affects my battle so I can't do much until we get that from David. Sorry, but you'll probably have to wait here for a while, unless you can get some other people to post to this one.

I personally don't have any objection to this webstory being started; however, I don't think it can be meaningfully called Battle for Sol. You've ignored the Alliance of Independent Worlds, which, while a secondary government in Battle for Sol, would quickly become far more important if the Confederation fell or if the pirates became a principle enemy. Also, we have yet to see any signs of the aliens in our webstory. So, I don't see how this webstory can really be connected to Battle for Sol.

I'm getting busier and busier, and soon I'm going to be out of contact for an extended period of time, so I haven't yet decided what I'm going to do about Battle for Sol. The fact that the thread now contains a number of discussions with people unfamiliar with the working of the story hasn't helped my attempts to keep up to date.

Batle for Sol could be just a name like EV! EV 1 hase nothing to do with EVO so the first BFS is very diferent from the second BFS!
OK, you heard him. I say battle for sol would be a good base name. Even though it has no relation to the first one. I figure this, with the fall of the confederation, some of the independant worlds are joining the rebellion. Then, with the alliance of empires, some join them. So, now we have about 1 third of the independent worlds staying independent. Yeah, and sorry about the battle for sol thing. I assume that you guys are somewhat reasonable with conceding battles. OK, so who wants to be who now?

Yes, I'm trying to keep some of the new faces trying to jump in down, or at least get them to read the whole thread first, which none of them seem all that interested in. I suppose we could ask Mikee about possibly trimming some of the fat there, but I don't know if he'd do something like that. Anyway, if you're going to be gone for a while soon David, we could just put BFS on hold until you get back. It'll still be down there somewhere, we can dig it up.
OK, we need at least 3 people to be consistently posting here. RC, I'm assuming you'll be in here, I'll be in here. And, since BFS is kind of on hold, maybe some of them will come in here. If need be, I'll be alliance of empires.

You can try to invent whatever you want, but it has to be reasonable. I don't see anything unfair with using the advanced Rebel technology, because the premise of this thread is that it comes after BfS, when the Rebels have already invented their technology.
I only read bits and pieces of BfS, but if this is supposed to be mostly un-connected to the original, I'll give it a try as King of Pirate Activities and Development on New Antigua.

OK, Macavenger is rebels. Luke is AOE. Alliance of Empires. RC, are you AOE or some other government? I was gonna be AOE, but, if two are with them I guess I'll be rebels. RC, when you explain further I'll tell you my alliance. And, I am the most frequent unregistered poster?

No, you misunderstood me. I'm a Pirate king, not an AoE person who handles pirates. And I think you are the most frequent unregistered poster, in the EV boards anyway.
But the pirates are the AoE. Now I'm thoroughly confused. Will someone please explain?
