The utilities section of the addons page is littered with the broken remains of past plugin editor attempts. Cheer up, you need not be a programmer to make a plugin. Mostly, you need patience to read the EV bible annotated edition front to back, and a head for numbers. And you need to learn resedit, which is the only really hard part.
