No one ever talks about the unending Lethe-Cydonia war, and it appears that I'm the only Cydonian online. So who do you think is better, Lethe or New Cydonia?

Well, I think they both have lovely flavors, but Lethe could use a tad of paprika since it has a wee bit of blandness in the aftertaste.

I made a plug once concerning the Lethe/Cydonia war. It pretty much involved missions from both govs and also "off to the side" missions from the Rebels and Confeds. I only put in a few new ships, but I felt that was enough. This was the only plug I made.

They're essentially the same in stock EV.
However, in one of my plugs I made the Letheans the aggressors, violating an age-old treaty that guaranteed New Cydonia limited access to the plentiful water on Lethe Prime.
But that's just me, and I think that most other plugs I've played that involved the Lethe-Cydonian conflict, the Letheans ended up the "good guys".

The Letheans are remarkably selfish; they have a planet bursting with natural resources, including water, and refuse to share...even though they signed a treaty stating that they would. But it is very difficult to feel sorry for New Cydonia. After all, they left Mars because they wanted a harsher environment (???) and deliberately settled on a world that was, essentially, a great rock in space. No offense meant, Entropy, but Cydonians aren't too bright.

I like the Leathens better cuase they have Rapiers, but i think the Cydoanians(sp?) are better cause they have Corvettes.

I am a Cydonian though, back in my old EV days I was die-hard New Cydonian. Mostly because they offered me the defensive missions first.

The Cydonians use Argosies, 'Vettes, and Lightnings. The Letheans use Rapiers instead of lightnings.
I never saw letheans use corevettes...are you sure you have seen them use it?
I think they are pretty bland in Average EV, but in E2 Dark Horzions I like the Cydonians because of the will for peace.

i favor the leatheans, mainly other than the political reasons they are holding their own fighting on to fronts. the cydonians to the north and the pirates to the south. it seems that when it comes to the cydonians they can barly manage one front. i have worked for both and the leatheans offer more defense missions and more money. leatheans rule.

I know- I downloaded one- it was cool but so full of bugs that I couldn't fix with ResEdit- so I threw it away.

When I'm playing EV without any plug-ins I don't care about the Cydonians and Letheans, and I just take em' both over.

forge actually wants a low karma. In the B&B; he actually complains about a mod raising his karma! I think that's a cool idea, especially since no one thinks he's a bad guy even though he has low karma.
Lethe/Cydonia? Lethe for sure! C'mon it's THEIR planet that has so much water. Cydonians just don't want to trade for water with other planets, that must be it!
