<![CDATA[ev-edit probs....]]>well, I just downloaded evedit but am having some problems....I sent an email to the creator, but I got a message back saying the host didn't like the user, or something...i'm too lazy to type it all again, so here's the email.....

I just downloaded ev-edit, and it looks pretty cool!
I say looks since i can edit stuff, but it won't load
the EV files and says so when I start it up. I copied
them ok, and everything, but it don't work. I'm using
executor, if that would make it mess up..... I looked
through the documentation, but i couldn't find
anything else to do, so any help would be appreciated.

expanding on that, it says there was an error that prevented opening a file needed for it or something, and i hit ok about 4 or so times. I would use RESedit since it seems more powerful, but it's kinda complicated, so if I can't get this working, i'll have to read up about it. so any help would be appreciated

btw, where did everybody go? i recognized about 3 people on the board. I guess that's what happens when your mac emulator breaks and you don't reinstall it for about 3 months.

also it says HTML is off, how does one go about enabling it? it ain't too cool if i can't use it. (and don't say to learn ubb....i mean, come on....)

It's OK for everything except for mďsns and s˙sts/spöbs.

Besides, mďsns can be done in Schmelta-V and s˙sts/spöbs can be done in EV Developer's Map.

What EV-Edit is useful for is what's extremely easy in ResEdit.

If you must use EV-Edit, always make backups of your plug.

Amazingly, you also have to back up EV-Edit. It seems to mess itself up when it crashes.

andrew dosn't like HTML, it gives us too much freedom. That and someone coughmikeecough messed up the boards by forgetting to close the table tag...
