Bank Hack?

Hey all, am wondering how to hide my tracks after robbing a bank account. I have the password and everything, but every time I transfer the money to a account it is traced back to me. Am I just doing something really stupid, or is there a trick to this?

There are 4 steps to a successful bank hack. (and some prerequesites)

The first is you must find an account with money to steal. The difficult way is to log in as admin and get all the accounts and go in each, the easy way is to get a mission where you "trace unauthorized money transfer" finish that mission and write down the account number and bank it got sent to, you can steal that million.

Second you need to have an account to send the stolen money to. Use an account on the same bank as you are stealing from. Make sure you write down all the account numbers on a sheet of paper to use as you go.

Third you need hud detector and monitor bypass v5, and proxy bypass v5, and Log deleter v4

Fourth you need some bounces. I usually bounce through all the servers I have accounts on, hack into about 5 internal servivces machines and use them too, thats usually enough.

Now the most important thing is that your first bounce must be through internic. You have to delete the log of your bounce through there or else they will catch you through a passive trace. Then bounce through all the other servers you have and connect to the bank. use monitor and proxy bypass. Log in the account you plan to steal from. send the money to your other account at the same bank. Now go to account statment, and delete the lof of the money transfer with log deleter, now log on your account at the bank, the one that recieved the money, and delete the log that you recieved the money. Now disconnect from the bank and log into internic. Go into admin and delete the log of the bounce(s) and that you logged in as admin. DO NOT DELETE THE LOG OF YOUR CONNECTION TO INTERNIC.

If you did everything corectly you have succeeded. Put time in fast forward for a day or two to make sure before you do stuff and then find out you failed.

Oh and I forgot the most important step. back up your guy before trying incase you fail.

why dont you delete the log of your conection to internic
is this so that you dont leave a "log out" with out a "log in" log

Correct. However, if you were to log into InterNIC again and delete your previous login and logout, that shouldn't be a problem.

Though it's a pretty anal-retentive thing to do.

...this coming from the person who bounces through the Uplink Test Machine to clear InterNIC connection logs.

Hey. I do that. Delete previous logins to internic, and bounce to the Test Server to login to internic so that I can clear logs. And I periodically clear the logs to the Test Server too.

Hey I'm freakin' paranoid. Then the idea of backing up my .usr file hit me.

It is possible
Break in as admin, search all accounts, get the number and password of any accounts
disable or bypass proxy and monitor
create an account at the bank
go to a stolen account and transfer money to your account at the bank
use log deleter to clear the statement on both accounts
go back to admin and clear all logs

It worked for me, with the right accounts u can get millions
I got nearly 3 million, and havent been caught weeks later

I always thought it was pretty unbalanced... you can get a huge amount of money relatively easily and never be traced. Kind of eliminates any reason for doing any missions. But hey, it got me all the software and the best computer, so why should I complain? : )

On a related note, I always deleted logs from the test server, never bothered with internic. Never been caught.

To make things easier and decrease wasted time
first go through all the accounts and transfere the money to one account in the bank (not your own)
finally rob the full account
this way u only need to delete one pair of statement logs

or just find an account with ~1 million in it... if you need more than 1 million, you're doing something strange.

So you can buy the Overkill and max it out without lacking money.

I've never been able to find an account with one million if not a part of a mission.

I've found accounts with money, but they were always left over from missions I did and forgot.

I've wondered that? do the missions create that money?
One cool thing is that your uplink rating gets upgraded for pulling off a bank hack. The bank never finds out who did it, but uplink pats you on the back for a job well done

Well, it look like the bank transfert mission create the money, as i've hacked all accounts in a lot of banks, and never found any account with more than 10,000 credits.

You surprise me, i never saw this. Only old account which I had to hack for "trace a balance transfert" missions.

Hell, i dont know what to do, first of all i followed every stap in the bank hacking text, then i followed the guidelines posted her, but i still get caught every time. Either during deleting the logs or even during the transfer itself. I bounced thru 100 connections but still get caught so what do i do wrong?

Hack the bank very, very quickly. They start a passive trace around one minute after you started to hack them.
And delete your logs at your first bounce, this will prevent them from finding you.

Once again, be FAST !
One minute is too much already.

I've usually found the best thing to do is delete the transfer statements first, because those are more easily accessed. Make sure you have the monitor bypass on when you delete statement at Uplink International Bank! I forgot once, and was soon caught for "hacking the Uplink International Bank". Be careful!
