Okay, things you need to fix.
That's all I can think of for needed things right now.
You need to work on making your own foregrounds. If you made your own foregrounds and then took my advice above, you could probably make great levels.
(edit) Also, use (url="http://"http://extemporaneous.ferazel.net/mascotguide.html")this(/url) as a reference and guide. Print it out, bookmark it and memorize that. Every MASCOTer needs that reference, that Ent has posted and added to it, bless him. (/edit)

Wow that's a whole load better than last time There are a few things that need fixing though.
I agree with ferazel that the game is at the same time too easy (too many torches and powerups, and too hard for a first level (or the first few levels) wraiths and crabclaws definatly belong at the harder end of the game.
I'm not sure I agree about the liquids though. I think it's workable but it shouldn't be random. The odd square or two of ziridium instead of water or - liquids in layers is quite interesting.
If you give away too many goodies in the first levels (or use too hard enemies) you have nothing new to offer in the later levels and people will get bored.
Space your enemies out a bit more in the first levels so that you can get through the level without too much sudden death syndrome.
Square levels are ok but a bit tedious. Draw the levels in a graphics package GraphicConverter is very good. Convert it to bitmap and past it as a smoothed FG tile map. If the lines are a little bumpy so much the better it makes more interesting terrain.
Read the Mascot editor also look on (url="http://"http://cybergran.ferazel.net")CyberGran's webpage(/url) and you will find various lookup tables for specific areas.

There is a bug on level 1 in the conversation so you have to press escape, It does not have any real words in it.
