I may not be a mod, but I've been around for a while, and have one thing to say. Dont flame people, it isnt looked apon as a good thing, and will get you in ****. Personaly, I dont normaly respond to personal attacks, and neither should you, just ingnore then and let a mod take care of it.
Anyways, back on topic. Backing up is a good way to make sure you dont mess up your player doing something stupid like walking away from the computer during a bank hack (I've done it...) weither its cheating or not isnt really important, its personal tastes and prefrences.

Computer_man, use of these forums is free to all, just because you started a thread doesn't mean you control who posts in it. Also, remember the rule to wait 24 hours before responding to someone who doesn't agree with you.
To be on topic, cheating is in the eye of the beholder. The instructions do not tell you that to save your game, back it up, so it was most likely not intended, thus could be considered cheating. I do not know why you hate it so much that it is cheating. It isn't bad or anything, in fact, I think it releives some of the anger of seeing the black screen of disavowment. If you do not want to be cheating, do not back them up.

Here's an Idea:
When you get to the point wher you are offered by ARC to destroy the Arunmor System, Duplicate up you file. Either Accept the mission and start the ARC storyline or decline and start the Arunmor Story line. When you finish one of them, go back to (the) duplicate and play the other storyline.
