I can't figure out what to do on the missions to give someone a first class degree. What do you do?

Connect to the International Academic Database , using a number of bounces.
Use the password cracker to hack into the site. I normally transfer all my RAM to the cracker and ignore the Trace, but you get soo long in the IAD it doesn't really matter
Search for the Name of the guy you want to change
He should have a graduate qualification of Class 2 or 3. Change it to a Class 1 (i.e. just delete the '3' and type '1'
Log out, deleting your logs or whatever you want to do...

As a good tip, take on multiple jobs that have ou going into the academic database. Since the trace there is so long, do multiple jobs at once. Lots of money!

Actually, I've noticed that the trace at the Academic Database is usually the shortest of all the places I hack into, except for the Social Security DB.

I didn't count, but that sounds more like my experience, too. Even when all I did was bounce through a half-dozen anonymous links.

I think I've gotten as high as 1400-1500 seconds, depending on what admin accounts I've had left-over.

You go through every server on Earth (well, for probably 2000+ you do).
Yeah, I found a bunch of links from the different places I hacked into and got my trace time up to 1030 seconds.

I managed to get 1800+ seconds when I was hacking into the IAD, as I think they have a very slow trace. I needed about 30 of it though, so it was a bit of a waste of time all that mouse clicking...

Yeah, when I hack a server that I know won't trace very quickly, I tend to only do a few bounces, usually just through my main bunch, and a few others I have accounts on. Whether that's laziness or good planning, I'll leave it for you to decide ;).

I think so, yes. SHould I put a space after the "Enter Name Here" text or not? Should there be a space between his names (Benjamin and Bennet)? Should I use capitals or lowercase? I'm sure I've copied it out exactly as I got it... :frown:
