This has been a joke I've seen several times but have never fully understood. From what I have found, he gave a release date for something (EVN?) that they didn't meet. His agreement was that he'd get breast implants if they didn't get it out.

Moki posted in a thread once that (rough quote) "if EVN isn't released in 2001, I'll get breast implants". Unfortunately, not everyone understood the joking nature of his post and started thinking it was something like the (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/webboard/Forum14/HTML/000026.html")"eating bugs"(/url) thing. By christmas 2001 moki got really, really , tired of people annoying him about this, and deleted the post entirely.
There were some photoshopped photos floating around the boards around newyears 2001/2002, mainly concerning moki's hawaii vacation and wether or not he needed a bra...

Well, the day of reckoning has come. Though I have the distinct feeling that it will be distinctly anti-clamactic Ah well, better wait and have it be a polished product than release something that will make people howl in frustration. After many of the initial bugs that Nova had, I can see the value of waiting...though now that I think about it maybe a public beta would've been the best thing for Nova because the game was so huge and there were so many intricate combinations of actions that could cause weirdness....to have fully tested it a small group would've had to keep testing for many, many months (this is evidenced by the fact that Nova patches are STILL coming out in a relatively regular stream).
Andrew and I agreed that if Uplink is not out today, I get his Audi S4.
well, on the Upcoming page it says Uplink is now at b4. So, there's at least some progress, even if it is only another beta release. Well, hopefully Uplink will be released in April, though at the rate it is going I would set your sites for May so there is no disappointment if it is not released this month.

On the upside, the reason we delayed it is to make sure it is a quality product when it gets to you; you'd be far more upset if you got the product and it wasn't up to par than having to wait another week or two.
