Some REAL questions about avara!!!

Ok, first in the Results section what does the PR and XR stand for?

Also in the intruments window in the upper left cornor of the energy/shield/shot status box are 2 orange boxes that seem to blink randomly during net play, but not solo. What are they and what are they for?.

From what I remember - PR and XR have something to do with a rating at the beginning of the game, and at the end of the game. PreRate and eXitRate - or something like that.

I've seen them, but I've never heard anything about the boxes though.

Don't quote me on this as it's been a long time, but I believe the blinking yellow boxes indicate packet loss (e.g. if instructions get lost traveling across the Internet, and have to be re-sent).

So, by what you are saying, in higher latency games between 2 people, there will be more "blinking lights", than with 2 people getting 30 ms to eachother?

high latency doesn't always mean lost packets.

As I recall with talks with Juri, PR and XR where never fully implemented before release. PR stands for player rating, and is a measure of who the game thought should have won by guessing their skill level. As you may notice it always puts the actual winner on top ;). As for XR I don't remember, and I'm running a PC now so I can't look at it to jog my memory, sorry. And I believe the yellow boxes are packet loss too. I think either the corners are high loss and the middle low, or something like that. It's been a few years ;).

Peace and good luck,

Circular number lines: dare I say, "Wow!"

I don't know what the orange sqaures are, but I believe XR is your rating at the point you left the game, and PR is your rating at the end of the game.
