As far as I know uploading your game to the CS add ons section is perfectly reasonable and good for CS. For one it shows what Coldstone can do (but would be better if a separate 'Examples' section was made)
I think that type of game you can upload is only freeware. I think you have to email ambrosia if you want to upload shareware (but if it is good enough then you are probably better selling the game through them anyway)

Uploading huge games (10+ Mb. for some) to the addons page can get annoying.
