Medievel Class Game

Im woorking on a small game pretty much like POG on medieval mode. The problem is, I dont want it to be a plugin, but I want to be able to use the graphics that can be used when making a plugin. Does anyone know how I can do this?

Graphics such as the guardian?
Stark posted about this not too long ago, basically you need to create a white map, then call one of the 'forbidden' characters. you will then need a utility such as Snapz to capture the creature. Search for this, or Stark will see it in the morning, since I don't remember much else ๐Ÿ˜‰

Someday somebody really should just go through and capture all the graphics from POG....maybe i should.....I am sure whoever did it would be famous...MEH

The point (to the best of my knowledge) was to keep PoG somewhat original by not offering the entire catalog. You wouldn't be able to do anything with the game with the 'unofficial' characters anyway, at least without permission

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the CS CD COME with all the graphics...? That would solve your problem... ๐Ÿ™‚

No, there are several graphics sets, the Guardian among them, that are absent from the CD art sets.

Well, if anyone could post a few monster ones, it would be appreciated. I tried the Snapz Thing, but
1. I cant get Snapz to work and
2. I dont know how to assemble them into animation files (im somewhat of a newbie)

Anybody on OSx will not need a program like "Snapz".... The OSX makers solved the screenshot problem for us! If you want to take a picture of your entire screen, just press command+shift+3 .....
If you want to take only a selected area .... you press command+Shift+4 and select the area you want.....I dont think very many people know this, as you always talk of using programs like "SnapZ" but this was it is built into the computer....and it is quite efficient!

Not really, you get zero options, unlike Snapz where you can save the picture to almost any file type, scale it, add a watermark, border, blah, blah. You can also take a movie of it, then cut that movie up into little pieces, allowing you to capture once, and have the entire set at your disposal. The .pdf filetype for graphics sucks too, you can't even display it in a browser window

I suggest that you rethink taking graphics from POG. It's illegal and they can sue you quite rightly.

If you purchase Coldstone, it comes with quite a lot of medieval graphics. A way to begin to build a game is to create the medieval game (the program gives you the option to do this), and then change it. If you want more or different graphics, you'll need to create them or have them created, or find free graphics to use.

Do not try to take graphics from POG that the company does not want to share with us. There's nothing wrong with not sharing everything, and nobody really has the right to expect it.

Those commands have existied since at least system 7.5...ie anyone who doesn't have TEN yet can still enjoy screen shots galore.
